Not quite yet…

I woke up around half past 6 this morning… and I thought: “OK, that’s nice.
I can turn around and sleep for another hour – then wake up and start the day
at a normal hour like I’m used to. Get back into the daily routine – easily…”

ahem

NOT!

I woke up again at 10 am

so much for ‘getting back to the daily routine!

(I will give it another try tomorrow – should I set the alarm clock maybe?)

So now it’s after diner and I still have to write my Tuesday blogpost, so
I won’t write too much text and just show you some things. I will give the
text-part another try on Friday (I will tell you about my word of the year then)

Waahaaaaa!!!

Yeeeeehaaaaaaaaa!!!

I’m sorry, I’m  sorry if you’re (temporarily) deaf now, but I just had to yell!!
IT somehow has to come out – and because I can’t say anything about IT (yet)
I thought I’d shout!

You don’t have to wait long before I share IT with you though -
I will tell you next week.

Huh? Next week you say? You aren’t going to write blogposts then, are you?
Next week is all about the top 2000 – or am I wrong?

No, you’re not wrong, but IT has something to do with the top 2000.
Sort of. Uhm. Yes.

I better keep my big mouth shut now before I accidentally spill something
and spoil the fun…

Let’s move on to art journaling then, shall we?

Call in the cavalry

After struggling all afternoon with website pages and HTML-codes,
I called in the cavalry yesterday and ofcourse my beloved fixed it for me.
Ha, now you know why he’s a member of the FEATURING team!
What should I do without him?

Yep, you heard me… the FEATURING team is introduced
so hop on over to the website and take a look at the ‘About’ page!
Oh, and while you’re there – we are open to receive all kinds of
artwork for our theme gallery – so check out the submission-page
as well! (You can come back here later to read the rest of my

My little word…

Most of you – especially the ‘diehard scrapbookers’ – know Ali Edwards
and her annual ‘One Little Word’ project. Instead of making a resolution
list at the end of the year, the idea is to choose a word that will guide you
and motivate you throughout the year. It sounds a bit silly maybe, that
one little word can help you all through the year, but I learned it sure does!

The first year I started with this OLW tradition (2010) I choose the word
SMILE, because my life was in a dip and I was rapidly heading towards
becoming a grumpy lady. The word stayed with me all year and made me
focus on the good things in life. Even my artwork became brighter and more
colourful.

For 2011 my word was AWARENESS
(read my considerations and reasons why in this blogpost)

Workshop by the Sea

Sometimes things don’t go quite the way you thought they would, but by
giving it a twist and turning it around you can make them into something
even better then you planned in the first place…

A disappointing number of three (yes, 3!) people registered for the
‘workshop by the sea’.

As the date approached – and no new registrations were added – I had to
make a decision: cancel the workshop weekend or – despite the small group -
go for it and transform the weekend into something even more creative…
I choose the latter.

I informed the women about it and one lady withdrew, but the other two
got all enthusiastic when they heard it would be a more intimate weekend.
After all, with such a small ‘group’ they would have the opportunity to learn
more complicated techniques.

The workshop weekend finally came.
I met Elvy and Margot – two friends that were my ‘students’ last weekend
- and we had a blast!

In the middle of…

… a lot!

I could type it all down – things I have to do, work I’m facing, preparations etc.
- but that would show ‘black on white’ why I should stress out, and I rather
keep the stress as far away as possible. So let’s say I’m in the middle of
‘pursuits’… I’m facing a lot right now, but nothing to worry about, ’cause
mostly it’s FUN things! The only thing that has to ‘suffer’ is my blog… no time
to write a long blogpost (what’s new lately?!) and no haiku either.

In my last post I promised you the ‘Chronicles’ page though,  so here it is!
