That’s what I had to keep in mind last week – yes, there was a reason for
not blogging on Friday and it was for sure not a nice one…

A publisher’s worst nightmares happened: when FEATURING was
delivered from the printing office, it turned out that one of the pages
in the issue showed a huge printing fault. Therefore, we decided we could
not send it off to the customers. FEATURING stands for a high quality
magazine, not only in content but also in how it looks – the finishing.
We refuse to send our customers a magazine that shows an artwork that
is mutilated because of wrong printing. So we demanded the printing office
to start over and print the magazine again. That means that there will be
a delay and, because of the holidays, it will take almost a Month before
issue 3 will (again) come out.

Pfew…. the next issue of FEATURING is at the printer’s office and will be
out next week! After the second issue took extra time to get out to the public,
I decided we should try hard to get back on track and in to the schedule…
So I whipped up the team and MAN, they did such a great job (or do you
think they were afraid I would punish them if they didn’t? )

Well… they are not revolting yet so I guess they were OK with it
and we are all so proud of this issue! Take alone the cover:

And, last but not least, FEATURING has a surprise for all readers

Last week, I was at the Kreadoe, a huge arts and crafts supply fair.
(Caatje published photos of the Kreadoe fair on her blog if you want to
take a look and drool over supplies… I’m glad to say that on the day
I went it was not as crowded as on Caatje’s photos!)  I had no plans to
go at first but last minute I decided to go after all.

Visiting such a big supply fair means that it is impractible to keep
your money in your pocket. I did not really need supplies so I’m
proud to say that I managed to keep my findings to a minimum -
but still there can be done a lot with those ‘minimums’ – take a look.

YAHOOOOO!!

Sorry for the noise guys, but I have reasons to celebrate this week…
LOOK!

Yep, the second issue of FEATURING is out and MAN am I proud
of my team – the magazine is again filled with wonderful articles!
I also thank the contributors who send in articles and art – you guys
are all amazing and made this issue as fabulous as the debut issue.
Maybe even ‘fabulouser.’ (I know that is not a word but I’m so excited
I made it up )

Issue #2 of Featuring Magazine is finished
and heading to the printers!

The second issue looks again fabulous and is jam packed
with talented artists, interesting stories and all kinds of art.

We will give away 30 inchies to readers who pre-order
issue #2 before September 21. These will appear on the
back of our third issue.
