Book Title Haiku & “Risky” Art Journaling
The grey and rainy weather in the Netherlands is starting to get on my nerves. It is affecting my mood lately, heck, even Mr. Mojo seems to stay rather in bed than play at the studio table.
I’m sorry dear ones, I will not make this a wining post. I better show you pictures instead of complaining… Today, I bring you another book title haiku and some art journal pages.
Haiku My Heart Friday
| Het stenen bruidsbed
De belofte aan Rachel Geheel de uwe |
The stone bridal bed
The promise to Rachel All yours |
“Written” (‘found’) for Haiku my Heart at Recuerda Mi Corazon
..
Promises to Keep
This is a spread from a few weeks before – just playing in my art journal on a rainy day…
..
Risk
Next art journal spread is made for a challenge at Scrapping From The Inside Out
Last Month’s kit had the theme ‘Risk’ and challenges were published on the forum.
I like that at SFTIO, the themes and challenges go further and deeper than the ‘average’ challenges you find on the Internet. (BTW, are there still challenge blogs around? Most that I know of retired…)
Anyway, this is what Rachel from SFTIO brought us to use as inspiration.
“Do you believe that in life, the risk you take is equal to the reward? Is there a mathematical relationship between what you invest and what you get in return? Have you put everything on the line for something you truly wanted and then didn’t have it turn out your way? How did you move though that life experience and move on, or if you haven’t, what’s stopping you?
For the design twist, please use lines – journaling lines, intersecting lines, line art, whatever speaks to you.”
Thunderstorm II
..
And here is my Chronicles spread for last week.
I’m not satisfied – the pages did not turn out the way I pictured it but ‘soit’, I blame it on February and move on.
The Chronicles of Marit – Week 8
..
I wish you all a nice, SUNNY weekend – see you on Monday for
the BIG Road Trip (New York City – part two)
Oh, speaking of the BIG Road Trip: I’m looking for artists from Delaware and Maryland to write a guest post and guide us through ‘their state’. Look HERE for all the info and if you’re interested, shoot me an email at bigroadtrip[at]maritspaperworld[dot]com

When I started reading your blog today, the gray printing on the white pages looked like the fray and rainy weather of which you spoke. I saw the day here in this same black and white. I marveled at it. It is the coldest before the sunlight, the darkest before the dawn. Frantically awaiting Spring here as well. Love your colorful journal pages.
Peace

fantastic journal pages Marit… living is a risk, loving a HUGE risk… but so worth it, for what would be the point of living without the risk of love?

Groetjes Carla

Er is hoop, Marit! Vanaf dinsdag gaat het zonnetje schijnen!! Dus nog even volhouden hè!
