Tales from the studio and woyww #197
Good morning, good morning from my studio where today my desk is filled with a bunch of gorgeousness… I’ll show you that – and more – in this post. Come on in.
Good morning, good morning from my studio where today my desk is filled with a bunch of gorgeousness… I’ll show you that – and more – in this post. Come on in.
Hi there dear ones!
Today I will start a blog series called “Tales from the Studio.”
As most of you know, I re-arranged the upstairs old room of my son (who moved out) and turned it into a working space for me. I showed photos of it in this post.
I stood in my son’s room several times in the past years, thinking how I should re-arrange the space once he moved out and how I would love to work in solitude and not having to clean up after me every day – but now that the moment was there, I had to take some hurdles – here’s what happened (and how I solved it!)
..
This is a short blogpost.
An ‘interlude’ so to speak.
Time flies and I’m sort of fluttering behind it.
I am glad I saved some ‘oldies’ to show you when the day would come
that I have nothing new to show. Because I didn’t even had time to finish
my ‘chronicles spread’, that day is now!
..
The ‘Quirky Dutch Summer’ series has come to an end,
but here is a reminisce (or ‘appendix’ if you like.)
You might remember post #2 about mail art?
A lot of you send me your ‘snail mail art’ and everyone who did,
received something back from me.
In this post I show you all the art I received and send.
It was a feast to see the postman coming with one beautiful envelope after
another; THANK YOU to everyone who surprised me with their work!
..
..
The longest day – yesterday – came with grey skies and ended with
a thunderstorm… so much for Dutch Summers. ‘Quirky’ indeed!
It rained again this morning but my mood brightened when the mail
arrived! The latest post of my Quirky Dutch Summer event handled
‘mail art, and some participants asked me for my address so they could
send their art to me. How fun it was to see these bright envelopes come in!

I woke up early this morning.
‘They’ said on tv yesterday evening that it could snow at night
- but nope, outside it was grey and rainy.
It still is.
That was a little bit disappointing.
Just a little bit.
It didn’t effect my mood.
Not really…
I lightened my Christmas branches.
I made myself a pot of strong coffee,
and I wrote a haiku!
