First: I want to point out THIS POST to you…
We are equally excited to have this girl on board!
Welcome Jennifer!

… and then there’s this…
(are you counting down the days already?)

Only one week to go…
‘Quirky Dutch Summer’ is a series of

I am preparing some whimsical and fun posts for this event. I promise:
you will be overloaded with inspiration and tips and techniques to get
your mojo started and going all Summer! Also, I have been recruiting
some ‘quirky’ bloggers to write guest posts.
I think you’re going to be blown away!
..
OK, enough about all that, let’s get to the content of this, temporarily last,
‘normal’ Tuesday post!

We experience yet another cold (very cold – for Dutchies) day!
My beloved and I were having trouble with it all weekend. The drain pipe
from the heating boiler and washing machine is but small, and the part
that is outside is frozen. Not able to do the laundry isn’t a problem (if
necessary, I can go to the neighbours and do my laundry there) but the
heating boiler drips its condensation water into the pipe and is making
the block of ice that is in the pipe thicker and thicker while the rest of
the water overflows in our bathroom.

… a lot!
I could type it all down – things I have to do, work I’m facing, preparations etc.
- but that would show ‘black on white’ why I should stress out, and I rather
keep the stress as far away as possible. So let’s say I’m in the middle of
‘pursuits’… I’m facing a lot right now, but nothing to worry about, ’cause
mostly it’s FUN things! The only thing that has to ‘suffer’ is my blog… no time
to write a long blogpost (what’s new lately?!) and no haiku either.
In my last post I promised you the ‘Chronicles’ page though, so here it is!

I woke up very early this morning.
The sun peeped through the curtains and the room was full of light.
I was just dozing off again when, in the corner of my eye, I saw something
strange hovering in the air … it looked like a smoke-curl, but it was not.
The shape of the curl changed while it swirled through the room and the
colours seemed to flow from red to orange to yellow… It was a happy curl!
Suddenly I was wide awake!
I blinked with my eyes – yep, still there…
I wondered what this could be…
and then it hit me – it was a vibe!
Someone had sent me a vibe!
Now I was really curious!
What kind of vibe would it be?
In any event a fun, positive vibe for its color was so bright!
I jumped out of bed, took a leap and then I caught him.
My oh my… it was a cleaning vibe! YAY!
I don’t know who send it to me, but THANK YOU!!!
It was just the one I needed!
I used it well during the day, and it shrank to just an eeny meeny little vibe.
I layed it beside the computer so it could rest. I have the feeling it will be
strong enough tonight to take off again, and I’ll send it to someone else
who needs it. (Jenneke perhaps? Keep your eyes open tomorrow girl!)
..
Do you expect photo’s of a clean house now?
I didn’t take one… but I have some artwork from last weekend to show you!
(Remember: you can click on each image to enlarge for a better view!)

Last week was my last ‘lazy week’ which I spend (as you know) reading
and creating. Again, my days will be filled with writing articles for
Creatief met Foto’s. The next issue of the magazine will be in the stores
in the first week of May, and I have to fill it before that… that means
I have to write approximately 18 articles in the next three weeks – it is
clear that art journaling will be put on a back burner during that time.
But it certainly won’t come to a complete art journal stop…
you know me
I can’t do without art journaling!
Although the quantity of pages will be less in the next weeks,
I have a lot to show you today! All made last week and weekend.
Ready?
Here we go…

Hello, hello – what day is it?
Somehow, I have difficulties getting back into the daily routine.
Saturday felt like Sunday.
Sunday felt like… uhm… Sunday?
Monday felt like Tuesday and today is… what?
At least I am used to NOT put on the radio in the morning.
My top 2000 album is done – I added a first and last page to the album
and you can see the complete book in my gallery.
(Look under ‘art journals’ in the top menu of this blog – which raises
the thought that it might be more logical when I put it under ‘mini albums’.
What do you think…)
Yesterday, I started fiddling around in a new art journal.
It’s a bit scary to put a pencil on the first page… it’s all so ‘new’ and open -
but I overcome my nerves and my art journal is deflowered now -
ready to be filled with all that’s yet to come! The future lies open!
I can’t show you the page yet – but I do have some ‘oldies’ for you.
I haven’t published the last weekly art journal pages from 2010 on my blog
yet because the blog party was going on in those weeks. (By the way,
from now on my weekly art journals will be called “the chronicles of Marit” -
don’t you just love the way that sounds? Like I am some sort of ancient
book character!)
Oh dear, am I rambling again?
Sorry… here we go with the pictures then.
