Hi there beautiful people, here’s an update from my tower-room-atelier where the light is beautiful, the inspiration is flowing and the music is good. It’s August and in the early mornings I sometimes can smell Autumn in the air… the sign for me to get active again. I’m talking about making new art and I am also making plans for (live) workshops to teach in the months to come.
It’s also time to login to my blog more often and write more posts. Which brings me to this one: I keep on running behind with showing you my Chronicles pages and since I create such an art journal spread every week the queue of pages waiting to get posted gets longer and longer…. I’ll show you a whole bunch at once today but keep a few in line to show you the next time. It might be too much otherwise.

In the past Summer months I did keep my Chronicles journal going but I didn’t spend much time in the atelier… However, lazy days are over now and I am all energized, inspired and in the mood to get creative. All kinds of ideas for new projects go through my mind and I hope to show you other kinds of pages besides these Chronicles spreads in the time to come.
You might see more blogposts coming too… so thanks for visiting my blog today and see you soon!

It would be fun to know: which comes first, the writing or the page design. I can’t imagine how you make them fit each other! Maybe I should just try it myself?

I have my ‘week notes’ when I start a weekly page. I choose the colors and designs with the notes in mind and write the text last. Here’s an interview in which I ‘talk’ about my process https://daisyyellowart.com/vividlife/the-interview-series-marit-barentsen.html and yes, try it Judith! It’s like a diary and fun to look back in former journals later on!

Thank you, Marit. I understand now. As you say, the best thing is to try the process for myself.

Leuk!
In elk geval blijf ik je volgen.
Veel succes met al je plannen.
