YAY, I know what day it is today! (Monday.)
Life got back to normal after the hectic holidays and although I loved all the ‘strange days’ (stores closed on days that they normally are open, the feeling that it was Saturday when it was Thursday, thinking it was a Sunday when it was Friday…) I’m glad I can get back to the regular routine. I spend last weekend in my atelier to finish my Chronicles art journal. There were two weeks to ‘cover’ with art journal pages and I always end my journal with a double page on which I glue the images of my Top 2000 art. And it became a tradition to put a selfie on the very last page.

(This spread has an extra page glued to it that I can flip over…)
The Chronicles of Marit 2015 – Week 51 B
(The other side of the ‘flip-page’ contains a plastic pocket that holds the funeral card of an acquaintance, I went to the funeral in week 51)

Last week, Monique submitted a layout for the Top 2000 party that showed a photo of me and my beloved (find it in this Top 2000 post #107) That photo was taken last Summer, right after (or during?) a menopause heat-flash while standing on a crowded market place… not the most flattering portrait (but nonetheless a sweet picture) and I’m glad to be able to say that I look like the above photo!
I already bound a new Chronicles journal to use in 2016 and it looks marvelous! The cover is made from pieces of leather sewn together and the book is almost too beautiful to start working in… If you are curious to see it, you have to come back to my blog on Wednesday – I will show it to you then.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today, have a great start of the week!

LOL, well now, hang on there a minute, Marit. Are you sure you want to distance yourself from that photo from last summer? Because, when I looked at it, I thought, who is this young chick with this lucky older dude? {winkwinkwink} I actually think you look awesome in it. ONLY YOU knew the fire raged within. We all see pink rosy cheeks and a happy “hawt” spirit. <3 xoxo

To wake up, put on the computer and see your comment calling me ‘a young chick with pink rosy cheeks’ makes my day! I’m filled with energy now, thanks Aimeslee!

Oh gosh, forgot to remark about these journal pages. They are all HAWT as well! And as my hubby was off work from Thanksgiving to today (help me, lord), I can well relate to not knowing the day, but I haven’t even considered embracing the weirdness of it. Will have to mull that over…. xoxo
