It’s been ages since I wrote a haiku… some of you might remember the days that I published a haiku every Friday for the ‘haiku circle’ at Recuerda Mi Corazon?
I was up early this morning, it was still dark outside and through the branches of the tree in front of my atelier window, I could see the illuminated clock far away on the “Lange Jan”, the tall tower of the abbey in the centre of the city. The branches of the tree swung back and forth, as a prelude on the predicted storm, and a haiku came to mind. So today I join the haiku circle once again…
{Hi Rebecca! So good to see you!)

predicts storm today
As I type this, the lights of the lamppost outside die.
I can see clouds chasing each other in a grey sky.
It’s raining.
It’s a good day to stay in the atelier and play with paint.
I might just do that.
Whatever your plans are for today, enjoy!

Nice, really nice Haiku, and photo. I love rainy days, especially rainy days where the place is mysterious to me, as is this.
