Top 2000 blog party – day six
#569 – #269

Art pieces in this post:

Some of you already noticed: my brother and sister-in-law are joining the Top 2000 party too… They live in Canada (my brother and his family emigrated from the Netherlands 8 years ago) and, stuck in the middle of a snowy landscape, they gathered in the sunroom earlier this week. They turned on the radio (computer) and tuned in on that old familiar ‘home feeling’ radio station. They took out the siccors & glue to join ‘sis’ and her Top 2000 party… “Little bro” even went outside to add some extra fun to the party…

Thanks bro, and stay warm!

The Top 2000 plays on and while we count down the numbers – slowly but steadily heading to
the nr. 1 on the list – the songs are getting better and better.  Only 48 hours left but, as they say:
“it ain’t over ’till it’s over”… and it ain’t over yet!
Enjoy today’s entries!

Turn your music boxes on to hear “the Top 2000 list” play!

More and more participants join me every year and the Top 2000 blogposts are filled with the most wonderful art pieces. Thanks everyone!
Here are all the art pieces I received ordered by number (counting down)
If there is more coming in today, I will add them to this post and change the number at the top, so you only have to look at the number to see if there’s more added during the day.

(If you want to play along, read this post for details )

Hoe dichter we het einde naderen hoe mooier de liedjes en hoe leuker de uitwerkingen. Je broer heeft er helemaal een feestje van gemaakt daar in de sneeuw. Leuk!

    Hi, Marit-
Continuing to enjoy your Top 2000 Blog Party. Love your artwork in response to “Oh Well” (I much prefer Fleetwood Mac’s Peter Green days to their more “pop” oriented songs). Just heard “So Long Marrianne” by Leonard Cohen–my favorite song from his first album. The music and the artwork is such a gift! Wonderful!

Elvy’s piece for the Kink’s “Lola” is spectacular, as well! Love the florescent colors and the way the wonderful lettering of words have been integrated into the negative spaces surrounding the figures.

Wat een leuk bericht van je broer! :)
En wat een schitterende werken weer, enkele wel met kippenvel, zoals bijvoorbeeld de art journal van Jolanda met knocking on heavens door. Prachtig, allemaal!!
