Goodmorning beautiful ones! It’s Wednesday, and I took the day off to play in my atelier – but my-oh-my, the day is half gone already! I slept in (which I hardly ever do) and I visited the gallery in my online workshop to see what the students created last week and then suddenly it’s almost noon. My desk is full of ‘stuff’ to play with so I keep this post short because let’s face it, those things on my desk look very tempting isn’t it?
My friend Robert send me a package which contained all kinds of collage paper and I have plans to use some on a spread in my journal. That box with washi tape is there ’cause I used tape on the envelope (on the photo to the left) that I, too, filled with ‘stuff’ for yet another person ’cause I participate in a ‘inspiration swap’. I will take it to the post office today and in return, I will receive yet another envelope with collage-paper in the upcoming days… I guess one day off will not be enough *lol*
I will work on a spread for week 11 today (I’m running behind with keeping up my weekly art journal) and when I get into the flow, I might even create ‘week 12’. I will show you the weeks before…
Chronicles 2022 – Week 9
Chronicles 2022 – Week 10
These spreads show what was on my mind: my son who came to visit us, the start of the cycling season and the war in Ukraine. Creating helps to get it all processed in my mind… how about you? Do you use your creativity to keep the balance, to stay sane in these times of uncertainty?
Have a nice day/week, I wish you serenity!
Hi Marit. A day off!!! Brilliant – enjoy – yes, even the long lie-in! Sometimes that’s just what we need. An inspiration swap – what a lovely idea. Enjoy using all that comes your way.
Take care. God bless.

Hellooo Marit, your desk is a treasure trove of goodies ⭐ surprise parcels are always a joy to open. Beautiful heartfelt journal spreads they are💕 Journaling for me lets me get how I’m feeling out … creating for me keeps me balanced and in tune … if I have time away from it I get lost.
Enjoy creating your spreads. Love and hugs winging your way Tracy #14 xxx
Sometimes we need to sleep in! How lovely to receive that parcel of collage papers, you’ll have such fun using those and thinking of your friend. The Ukraine artwork is very poignant, I think we all feel horror at what is going on.

It’s always nice to receive a parcel but if it is crafting goodies that is even better.
Such a lovely desk full of wonderful things that you are obviously using on a daily basis, how lovely to have such an area to work in with all that light.
As always I love your chronicles but today I must say that Ukraine dedicated page is simply magnificent. So very poignant.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

Doesn’t this always happen when you have a day off, it just goes so fast. But sometimes you just need a bit extra sleep so that is good too. You always have a busy desk full of interesting stuff and the Collage papers sounds interesting. Hope your day off is full of happiness and wishing you a very happy and creative woyww. Your desk always makes me want to dive in and have a play. Loving the Chronicles each week and that piece is wonderful – I feel the same, just the making helps keep my head straight and lets me sort things out when all around the world is engulfed in madness. Lovely idea, the swap and I hope you enjoyed your day!

Always love your Chronicles…but week 10 really took my eye.
An inspiration swap sounds like a brilliant idea!
I love the way the cyclist, lettering and smaller text all work together to bring a dynamic feeling of motion to “Chronicles 2022 – Week 9”. Great photos included, as well, of you and Nout, and of Nout creating at your work table. Chronicles- Week 10 is beautiful but heartbreaking. It is certainly a tribute to the brave people of Ukraine. How one man can be the cause of so much destruction, misery and death is beyond belief.
