It seems there is no system in my blogging anymore… it is Sunday and I cannot even remember when I last blogged on a Sunday – oh well, these are strange times. Life isn’t always easy and I’ve had my share in the last couple of years. However, the universe decided to test if I could handle even more and struck both my beloved and my mom with health problems.
Don’t worry sweeties, I live through it and things are getting better now. My mom is doing remarkably well and it looks like she will recover completely after having surgery. Next week, my beloved will have some extra tests and visit the vascular specialist again to hear if surgery is necessary… my focus is on him now but I am optimistic that everything will turn out all right.
I don’t spend much time in my atelier lately but there are some ‘oldies’ in my archives waiting to be published on my blog. There’s actually one art journal spread that I came across last week that I don’t even remember creating…
Although I don’t remember when I worked on this, I DO like this spread!
Ik weet wat je denkt (I Know What You Are Thinking)
Next is a mixed media piece I created while I was on a ‘creative gathering’ in Tilburg. I demonstrated gelli printing techniques to a group of creative women that day but I also created a piece with the ‘instructions’ and inspiration my friend and hostess of the event Anne-Marie gave. If I remember well, she told us to tear out three images from a magazine. Next, we had to wrinkle the photos, cut pieces from it, glue them on a page, add paint, sand the piece and some extra things I cannot remember – but I love how this page turned out! I might even frame it and hang it on the wall.

Dark clouds gather outside my window – it looks like it is going to rain. Heave thunderstorms are on their way too, so the weatherman says… but I am sitting high and dry ready to spend the day in my atelier. Thanks for visiting my place today.

Hope all is getting better for you. so sorry to hear about recent troubles. Health issues with the ones you love are always so difficult, concerning and draining. You love them so much and you worry and by accident it sucks the energy from your creation. Try to have a lovely recharging art day. Hugs from Canada.
