The virus I told you about last week hit me real hard… it was still do-able on Wednesday but Thursday, Friday and Saterday were bad. I could not do much except for this…
However, in the last days I moved from “sniffle-phase” to “cough-phase” which came with this earwurm that’s stuck in my head now:
I said to Hank Williams, how lonely does it get?
Hank Williams hasn’t answered yet
But I hear him coughing all night long
Oh, a hundred floors above me in the Tower of Song
~ Leonard Cohen – Tower of Song ~
But hey, my head feels more clear so I gently (gently!) started creating again. Here’s what is on my desk this morning
That’s the beginning of a spread for week 49 in my Chronicles…
… and here’s the weeks before that.
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 47
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 48
See that ‘list’ at the right side of that spread? That’s my voting list for this year’s Top 2000. The voting closed and the complete list will be published next week (December 19th.) From that date on people can start creating and submitting their creations for the Top 2000 Blog Party and this house will be filled with ACTION!!! If it goes anything like last year, I will create like a whirlwind while my beloved will handle all the incoming submissions… last year, the Top 2000 week yielded 301 (three-hundred-and-one!) entries: art journal pages, cards, paintings, ATCs and even pieces of embroidery created with songs from the Top 2000…
so I better use this week to rest, get that virus out of my system and build up energy for that last weeks of the year. I hope you have a lovely, peaceful week too… don’t stress too much over Christmas, take deep breaths and relax!

So sorry you’re feeling under the weather, Marit, but looks like you’re making the most of your down time. Loving the pages and wondering what the puzzle’s going to be when finished. Hope you feel better soon – the coughing phase is the worst and the hardest to shake! zsuzsa #14

Ah busy days ahead Marit, so yes time to make sure you get over that virus. I’m privately amazed you could do jigsaws with a virus but then I’m not expert in that area. I do if have someone else to do it with… great work in your book too, lots of time there.

Take care. God bless.

Hi Marit, glad to hear you are starting to feel better. Nothing worse than being ill when you have so much to do. Love the journals. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz X#5

Sometimes viruses knock you for six – I’m sorry you’ve been so poorly but am glad you’re picking up now in time for Christmas. I don’t know that Leonard Cohen song at all, am going to have to check it out now. My earworm is the Three Kings Swing that my band are playing in a concert tomorrow night!! I do love a good jigsaw and might have to get another one on the go before Christmas. Good luck wth all the voting stuff!

Oh my word, not a good time to pick up a nasty virus. You really need to rest as much as you can Marit, your coming weeks are busy and you’ll be exhausted. A jigsaw can be the perfect antidote to sitting about feeling horrid, but I hope you don’t do anything too strenuous soon! Love the chronicle pages, I can hardly believe that we’re heading toward the year end so fast!

I hate the after effects of a cold, and a cough can linger for so long. Hope you shake it off in time for christmas. Have a great week

So sorry to hear Marit but good to know you are slowly on the mend. I always find doing something creative takes my mind off it all even if it can be a struggle with our sniffles and coughs. Hope you are feeling 100% very soon. Take good care & drink plenty of vitamin C.

Glad that you are slowly on the mend and back to creating Marit. A jigsaw is a good way to relax a little if you are feeling unwell. Keep warm and hope you shake the bug for good soon. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

So sorry you are not feeling well, I think my hubby had the same virus, ended with coughing, he’s better now, so there is light at the end of the tunnel! Best to get it all over with before Christmas! I love your journal pages, they remind me of mine many years ago! I miss doing my journals like this, but then i have so many different journals to work in as well as my written journal on my computer. . .I guess the closes now is my junk journal -which I have not worked in for awhile now, and must get back to it! Have a great week, and get better quickly! Lindart #20
