Downsizing books – such a hard thing to do! We have two rooms in our basement dedicated to books – even with stacks like a library! I know at some point we will have to sort through, many haven’t been read yet, but I keep buying more! Addiction? I think so. Anyway, good luck with your sorting, your new home sounds like fun!
What a huge job crocheting your bedspread, but it will look awesome when it’s done! Interesting journal pages, especially the bright red tongue! What are you “blehing” about?

That’s a wonderful pattern Marit, really looking forward to seeing the completed project. Crochet always looks so neat and tidy.
It can be so difficult to downsize when we have so many treasures amongst our possessions, I am having the same problem since finally getting round to sort out my shared Kitchen/craft area I am now slowly working around the house in the hope of decluttering everything else.. it will take me years..
Your journal pages this week look full of mischief with those sticking out tongues hee hee!!

I love books but like you just collected too many over the years so gave many away to charity. it’s difficult with books, you can hardly throw them away, it wouldn’t be right or is it just me. I guess you could recycle them too. Have a great woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x16x

When we moved to Wales, I downsized our book collection and didn’t feel guilty at all about doing it – most of the excess went to the Oxfam charity bookshop so it was helping to raise money. We have two Billy bookcases now and that holds everything nicely and do I regret getting rid of the books? Nope, haven’t missed them at all – we are trying to live a lighter life. By the way my hubby has a serious vinyl stash too, just like your partner, lol!

Hi Marit, I totally get the book problem. We had to make the decision to send a huge number to charity shops a few years ago. Kept only our most loved ones. We had so many, and like you our rooms are quite small, so we’d reached the limit of the number of bookcases we could accommodate. Love the journal pages, funny and unusual. Morning Marit. I love the pattern of that cushion – and the thought of converting it to a bedspread – wonderful. Oh, I feel for you, having to get rid of some of your books. OUCH!! That would hurt so much. I love reading – real books, not kindle books. You can’t cuddle up to a kindle with a hot chocolate, or take it to read tucked down in bed… I regularly visit charity shops, buy some books, read them, then decide whether I want to keep them or send them to a different shop – lots of win-win going on in that process! Erm – confession time – I have five bookcases, plus books in lots of other places spread around the bungalow as well. Oops!
