Good morning friends.
Good morning computer.
Good morning Internet.
Good morning blog!
Last week – Friday evening – the computer went black.
Dead.
Over and out….
My beloved tested everything and anything – but the poor thing
had to go to the specialist. (the computer that is, not my beloved)
It took days… days in which I managed to get the guest post for Quirky
Dutch Summer online via our ’emergency computer’ which has a very
small screen, a MOUSE (- eeeckkk – I always work with a tablet and pen)
and no access to my photos, my stuff whatsoever.
That’s why I was not able to visit my haiku friends last week.
That’s why I was awfully quiet on the Internet.
I was forced to take a vacation from the world wide web!
The computer is fixed but my beloved took the opportunity to use
our ‘forced vacation’ for cleaning our office space. It’s not done yet so –
although I do have access to the web again – I will have to stay out of
this room for the next days.
I use this one hour I have on the computer to p0st photos I made last days.
(Oh, and I even wrote a haiku!)
Sooo, what did I do while I was off of the computer.
Fun stuff!
The weather was beautiful so I took all the spray ink outside and
made me some bright colored backgrounds yesterday.
Meanwhile, my son enjoyed sitting in the garden, watching me play
and read his music magazines that he got for his birthday.
Yep, it was his birthday (20 years old… WoWZah!)
I noticed his bracelets… bright colored, woven bracelets that he got
when he visited music festivals. (When I was young, they put a stamp on your
hand when you went to a concert or festival, as a token that you payed.
I like these bracelets a lot more then the stamps in those days!)
I took a photo of his arm and wrote a haiku for Haiku my Heart Friday.
Fel gekleurde armbandjes.
Stille getuigen van een leven gevuld met muziek |
Bright colored bracelets.
Silent witnesses of a life filled with music. |
(I can’t get the syllables right in the Dutch translation – but never mind…)
If you like to see more photos and read more haiku –
hop on over to the list of participants on Rebecca’s blog.
(I hope to be able to visit all the participants later this weekend or next week,
I’ll do my best!)
I have to go now… beloved is waving with the cleaning cloth and
threatening me with the vacuum cleaner…
Have a nice weekend you all!
Go outside and spray some ink!
Go weave a bracelet!
See you soon!
P.S. There will be a Quirky Dutch Summer post next Tuesday and
a ‘Buried treasure’ post on Wednesday!

Welcome back! Isn’t it strange being away from the computer for so long? I love those bracelets. It must be a European thing because they don’t give those out here.

“Forced” vacation might be nature’s way of telling you to take a break, just saying’
Your spray painted art looks colorful. Might we see it in some upcoming project?
Music festivals, cool. A great haiku on the subject. Hits the nail on the head. These are silent reminders or the musical memory. Very cool.
Gl;ad to hear all is well.
Much Peace
