Waar is de tijd dat men zich nog bewust was van waar men zich bevond? |
Where is the time when people were still aware of the *place where they were? |
(Dutch word on the flags: strand = beach)

I submit this haiku to Haiku my Heart

Being where we are is not always easy!
I dont know what people are aware of these days. I dont know where that time went. I wish it would either return, or improve. I wait. I hope.
Strand is the perfect word here, for many reasons. I love how our languages dip into each other and expand what we know, or think we know. Especially as time slips through our fingers like this sand and these memories… Thanks to you and Lena for this post. It is poignant and tugs and at my heart. Sending hugs my dear friend.
Wonderful photograph and haiku! Both the photo and the haiku seem as though they are reflecting on the “last days of summer” when the beach—once crowded with people—is now empty. Do the people still remember where they once were? Is that memory enough to carry them through?
all i can see is the reflected rose and umber light of sunset and a path leading forward. being present, one step to the next in all its wonder is a “”place” i strive for. thank you for transporting me to this quiet moment and extraordinary beauty. i am so grateful for you. xo
