Goodmorning lovelies! Another Wednesday means another photo from my workdesk (to see why I post a photo of my desk, go here and read all about this weekly party.)
There’s something odd on my desk today – something you haven’t seen in years…
can you spot it……?
…
Yes, there’s a SCRAPBOOKING ALBUM laying to the left.
Early zero’s I started scrapbooking but when I discovered art journaling (in 2009) I discovered ‘my wings’ and didn’t scrapbook anymore… (There’s a guest blogpost from me – dated 2011 – about that topic on Julie Balzer’s blog, you can read it here)
Last Summer, my son and I flipped through the old albums and how fun it was to look back and see those photo-pages/layouts! Right then, I planned on creating a layout every now and then to use the photos and preserve the memories of the past years. In October I bought a new scrapbooking album on the “Paper Passion” fair and I started last week with creating a few ‘good old-fashioned scrap layouts’.

Scrapbooking is a whole other field of creativiness – art journaling is more my cup of tea – and I was a bit rusty, so I googled and found a sketch on My Creative Scrapbook
I used former sketch for the layout with photos of my atelier.
A Room of One’s Own
I got the hang of it, I was having fun so I created one last layout using a photo of me taken during a fashion show in 1986.
Wicked
I’m back to art journaling this week but I’m sure you guys will see a scrapbooking layout published on this blog every once in a while from now on… I selected photos already to bring to the print shop

Brilliant layouts – you looked so cute as a child and the Wicked page is just that – wicked! I come from a scrapbooking background as well and have been looking for a way to combine the traditional scrapbooking style with mixed media. You did a good job of that in the third layout especially! Hope you have a good week! zsuzsa #20

great layouts! I have never got into scrapbooking, have done a total of 3 pages I think!
In answer to your question, yes I get distracted by the tv and start watching and stop crafting… but have to have it on … hence not getting much crafting done later! Helen #2

You definitely have a knack for scrapbooking as well! It’s not a lot different than art journaling, just more focus on photos than journaling. Great job! Thanks for sharing, have a great week, Lindart #26
