Collaboration project with my son
Last year my son and I drew every month based on ‘assignments’ or themes that we took turns making up. My son asked whether we can expand this collaboration in 2022 because he also wants to try out some other techniques and investigate different ways of creating… How nice is that? Well, that’s what we’re going to do! January will be all about ‘collage.’ However, last month we were still drawing and the theme for the December drawing assignment came from my son. It was a bit of a shock when he told me to “draw with white on black.” Oops… I tried working with white on dark paper a couple of times and I find it very hard to do… but that is of course the challenge of this collaboration; that we push our limits and don’t get stuck in our ‘comfort zones’ so I went for it.

Happy New Year Marit, am very glad to know that you and Nout will continue this collaboration, fun and sometimes a bit of a stretch..good for you! I swap an ATC each month with a lady I met when she bought some stamps from me via eBay, and she challenges me in each of the months she picks the theme. I love you white on blacks, and how differently you approached them.
