You may have seen the small ‘Zentange journal’ laying on my desk photos in the past few weeks… I picked up zentangling a few weeks ago on a quiet evening when I wasn’t in the mood for watching TV or reading. It had been years ago since I last zentangled, so I started with practicing some basic patterns (you can find a lot of patterns on this website) Not very interesting to show you, so I did not photograph those, but a few days later I made the following page:
As I was planning to write this blogpost, I was curious to find out when I first started with this zentangling journal so I searched for the first blogpost I wrote about it (on my old blog.) The post is dated February 23, 2010 – that’s five years ago! When I came to the end of that post there was that video that I totally forgot about… however, the video on my old blog would not play anymore. I did remember what was in it though and I desperately wanted to view it again.
You know that feeling, when something rather small like this starts to haunt you? It’s like trying to remember a name (I also have it when I hear a song and can’t remember the title and/or the band that plays it…) So… that video. I remember it was a music video from a ‘foreign’ band – French maybe? I remember the video showed (stop-motion) art journaling that made my jaw drop, and that was about it. Was it still around on the Internet these days somewhere? How to find it?
I tried several search options in you tube… nope.
Then I started to read the comments in my old post (why didn’t I think of that earlier?)… Michelle Rydell commented: “Totally dig the video – I saw it on Georgia’s blog too!” I put some time in searching for the video with this information, but it was way too vague (Who’s Georgia?)
By now, I had spend 45 minutes looking for this video all over the Internet but hey, the urge to find it had become an obsession and I just HAD to find it! Today!
Then I read what Mrs. Peel commented: “the video is from Skank (I’m Brazilian)” Waaaahhh, now THAT was a tip! I went to you tube once again and searched ‘Skank’… it took me a little over 15 minutes but guess what… Uh-Uh, I FOUND IT!!! It is as amazing as I remembered.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

I watched the video with my mouth hanging open. How did you do that? Really really cool. Thanks for finding it and sharing.
Marit says
Suzie – the video is not mine (I wish I could draw and edit videos like that!) I found it on youtube and it’s from a Brazilian band called “Skank.”
