Has it really been June since I last put my name in the woyww-circle-list? Well, life takes a flight isn’t it? I even have not posted anything else but a weekly haiku over the last weeks, so there’s a bunch of new things to show… do you have time? Well then, grab a cuppa and enjoy (and if you only want to look at my desk and skip the journal pages, go ahead I won’t blame you!)

The little “Cairn” book on my desk I made to practise a special binding technique, here’s a close up.

I used very thick watercolour paper for the pages (I guess: 300 grams or more… I had a big piece of that in my stash) and I plan on filling this book with paintings of cairn. A cairn is a human-made pile (or stack) of stones raised for a purpose, usually as a marker or as a burial mound. The word cairn comes from the Scottish Gaelic: càrn ~ Wikipedia

Next… all the Chronicles art journal spreads I made over the last weeks (months even…) I’m sorry it’s a lot but if I don’t publish it now, I probably never will…

Ha, I reached a goal and posted those spreads before I turn sixty *** ??? *** Sixty? Gulp! Oh yes… it’s quite a big number but next week I will get there. My birthday. I’m getting used to the number by now. I might even start to like it… ‘Sixty’. Yep. Sixty. Next week. Cheers!
