Goodmorning dear ones and a special goodmorning to my friends from the haiku-circle… I’m back to continue where I left off: another haiku in my bookcase.

Haiku My Heart Friday

I’m glad to join the list of haiku-lovers again and say hi to all my fellow-poets, especially to our hostess Rebecca who generously opens her blog Recuerda Mi Corazon for all haiku lovers on Fridays.

..

..

I was very productive in my studio the past weeks and I have a whole bunch of art (mostly art journal pages) to show you. I won’t publish them all at once, but here are two pages I made last week in my ‘Miscellaneous’ art journal.

Random Thoughts

Size: 21 x 29,7 cm - 8.3 x 11.7 inch
Materials: acrylic paint, Dylusions spray ink, homemade template,
washi tape, cut out magazine images, Indian ink, Black and white sharpie

..

Thunderstorm I

Size: 21 x 29,7 cm - 8.3 x 11.7 inch
Materials: acrylic paint, baby wipes, image cut out from a photo
book, white sharpie, black marker

Let me explain the ‘baby wipe’… I did not prepare the paper with gesso (which I usually do) and when I brushed on some paint on the page, I didn’t like the way the colours worked together. So I took a baby wipe to wipe most of the paint off, planning to paint it over. But to my surprise, the paint blended beautifully and the paper seemed to suck it in in a special way. I was in ooh and awe! I noticed the paper looked like a night sky so I took out the photo book my mum gave to me some years ago. It contains all kinds of photos showing skies and weather types… and I fell for this image of a thunderstorm over a city. I think this is one of my all time favourite art journal pages!

I gave it the title Thunderstorm I as there are more photos of thunderstorms in the book, and I’m already working on the next.

..

I hope you have a wonderful weekend filled with sunlight and blue skies (photos of that are in the book too, and I might work with those someday later)
