During the lockdown he decided to go for a walk every evening (the subtitle says “Corona-walks”) and his notes were published in this book. It’s a book without photos. Of course he made photos too (he published those on Instagram and I guess they will be published someday) but I fell in love with the way he writes!

Friday haiku

My haiku today has everything to do with the book, and of course with my friend Lena Schreijenberg, who takes the photos that inspire me to write a haiku.

De zon zakt. Het strand
bij valavond. Ik wandel
met de fotograaf.		 The sun sets. The beach
at nightfall. I’m walking with
the photographer.
