I remembered to take a photo of my workdesk yesterday afternoon, while I was in the midst of creating and who knew: I have an “exploding box” just like Angela (Felix the Crafty Cat.) That box is filled with little pieces of paper and as long as the lid fits – more or less – on the box, I don’t feel called to clean it out. Here’s the finished spread:

I Dream About Color

I like how this spread ‘grew’ and came together – there are days when I feel like wading through mud, trying to find the right pieces of paper, the right colors, the right materials to express what I feel… and then there are times like yesterday afternoon when I get into some kind of flow and the paper and I seem to communicate – having a dialoge. I add a piece, the spread speaks and says ‘yes’ or ‘no’ and I don’t even have to think, you know what I mean? Even the title dropped on my desk just like that. You know how I love texts/words on my pages, so when the spread was nearly finished I grabbed the folder in which I keep random cut-out sentences and words. I didn’t even have to look through the clippings: I opened the folder and this phrase came rolling out just like that. Perfect!

And now it’s time to hit the ‘publish’ button, pour me another cup of coffee and start visiting the other deskers from around the world – have a lovely day and I see ya in a minute!
