Another Wednesday… time flies! I spend quite some days in my studio working on all kinds of things, you’ll see some of it laying on my desk in my ‘woyww’ photo at the end of this post.
But first…
Golden Oldie
Yes, I opened up one of my old scrapbook albums again.
Jeanet requested I’d open album 1 and show layout 13…
and look what was stuck in the protective sleeve there… hahaaa… Jeanet picked an ‘oldie’ that handles and even older ‘oldie’… this layout is about my school calendars and how I used them as a – what we would now call – art journal. Oh, those quotes and phrases you (I) jotted down on these pages – it has me in stitches reading it now!
The title of this layout says it all: “He said HI”
Remember? Boys you had a secret crush on who suddenly noticed you and said ‘hi’?
OHMY.. occurrences like that made my day (week!) back then. It increased the doodling (mostly hearts, of course) in my school calendar and the writing (uhm, swooning) in my diary at home.
In this old post you can see more detail photos of this layout and some explanation how I made the title and what’s on the hidden journaling.
Do you like to see more ‘golden oldies’???
Then leave me a comment saying which album I should open next week and which layout you want me to show… numbers please!

What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday is hosted by Julia from the StampingGround. If you would like to take a trip around the world to see other people’s creative spaces then pop on over to Julia’s blog to find the list of participants or, even better, join the weekly gathering and share a photo of your own work desks. Here’s mine.
I have to explain something to the English speaking amongst you: my new project is called ‘Schrijven Over Schrijvers’ which means both “Writing Over Writers” as “Writing About Writers” (the word ‘over’ in Dutch has both meanings.) I’m pretty excited about this little project.
I hope you all have exciting projects on your hands too, thanks for taking the time to stop by at my blog today!

Love your layout! The title made me smile, as those memories of the first “hi” from a boy would make me giggle and turn a day into a great one back then. I used to tease my late hubby how he missed out alot going to an all boy school. The writers project sounds so great and interesting. Can’t wait to see what you do with it. Winnie#78

very nice post. I see lots of interesting creativity going on. Thank you so much for you nice comment to my blog for WOYWW. You are the only artist who mentioned a Japanese style. I saw that too…sort of an anti-bonsai tree effect in my muddled mind

Hi Marit. A big thank you for visiting my Wednesday desk. Have been working on the card for my nieces 21st birthday and ready to blog it after returning a few WOYWW visits.. Love the idea of writing over writers, very different approach. I’m planning to do a bit of journalling tomorrow with inky fingers and lots, and lots of paints – cant wait after doing the pretty card I need to get down and dirty with paints.
