Goodmorning lovely ones, on yet another Wednesday… time flies and although I planned to visit the woyww-deskers last week I didn’t come to that… all kinds of appointments, visits and just ‘things’ got in the way. I promise to make it up to you and visit ALL deskers this week!
Here’s how my desk looks on this grey morning – yep, Autumn finally decided to act like expected: windy and rainy… but with such lovely paper on my desk, I don’t mind the weather. I played with my gelli plate yesterday and I now have a bunch of lovely background papers waiting to create with.
I started working on week 42 in my Chronicles art journal – I am keeping up with creating ‘the week pages’ but not with showing them… here’s a spread that shows week 40.
The Chronicles of Marit 2018 – Week 40
I started keeping a weekly art journal in 2010 and called it “The Chronicles” but you know what? You could also call it “Book of Days”… a journal you create in on a regular base, a journal to jot down emotions and thoughts, a book to test techniques and materials… and “Book of Days” is what Effy Wild calls a journal in which you do all that.
For a number of years now, Effy Wild offers an online boot camp called Book of Days
Book Of Days 2019 is a year long e-course by Effy Wild which will feature 13 ‘all star’ journal art teachers and at least 12 ‘rising star’ bonus teachers. This course is designed to immerse you in art journaling with new content going live at the beginning of each and every month throughout the year, including full length video tutorials by Effy and her all stars, bonus content by Effy’s rising stars, interviews, journal prompts, live virtual gatherings and monthly vlogs. Along with more content than you’ll ever need to sustain your own creative practice, you will be enfolded in a community of gorgeous, wildly creative, supportive journal artists who make building and maintaining a creative practice one of their priorities. Join us with instant access to introductory content beginning November 1st. Class begins in earnest on January 1st. Early bird pricing is $99 until December 31st, and $120 thereafter!
So for 2019 Effy invited a number of fellow artists to teach beside her. Book of Days 2019 features 13 guest artists/teachers and a number of bonus guest artists: among the Exellent Effy Wild herself, the other artists and teachers include Marvelous Michelle Rydell, Thrilling Tamara “Willowing” Laporte, Sensational Sarah Trumpp, Magnificent Marieke Blokland, King-sized Kiala Givehand and you know what…. Hi Marit, and many congratultions for being chosen as a guest artist on the Book of Days course. Well done you! I am not adding any stars because weeks go by and I don’t get time (or energy) to spend in my studio and it would be unfair on someone else if I won, but it will be fun to hear how things go, and perhaps to see some of the work people do. I adore your beautiful gelli prints and what a great page, too. The text makes a wonderful background as well. Thank you for your visit and I’m sorry to be so long replying but I haven’t been on the computer much these past couple of days. Thanks for your good wishes.
