What’s On Your Work desk Wednesday celebrates its 300 birthday, WOW! Our lovely hostess Julia started woyww in 2009, never knowing that it would take a flight like this. She published a photo on her blog showing her desk as it was at that time, with all kinds of stuff on it. A ‘messy’ desk with ‘works in progress’ on it – just the way we crafters know a desk looks. Julia was curious to see other desks, so she asked everyone to link her up to blogs with photos of desks… and that was the start of this weekly event. And now we’re up to #300… 300 weeks of desk-hopping… and Julia has been hosting this party week after week after week. Thank you so much for all the work you do Julia!
I took a photo of my desk as it was yesterday late in the afternoon, knowing that it would look the same this morning. Carving stamps from erasers… I LOVE it!
And now… head all over to Julia’s at Stamping Ground, where you’ll find the list of deskers all around the world celebrating this milestone by showing their desks. Oh, and if you want to show a picture of your desk too, please join in!ย As Julia says it: “it doesn’t matter if this is your 1st, 51st, 201st or 300th join…we wanna know what you’re doing and see where your doing it…”

I am intrigued by your stamp carving from erasers. I think I would be terrible at that! But how cool. Happy WOYWW #300! Sandy Leigh #58

You look extremely well organised. I had a little go at carving my own stamp – I was not very good ๐ Anne x #38

Oh Marit how tidy your desk always is – you even make a super messy job like carving that stamp look so neatly done ! I think I need to come over for tidy lessons !
I was trying to read the Dutch (from my schoolgirl German!! ) & think you are off somewhere for a crafty event ? !! Ali #21

Yes Ali H, you understood it well! I will visit a creative (scrapbooking, crafting) trade show on Friday. Funny isn’t it, how we remember part/words of a language we learned in school long ago – I have that when I see French texts… some words come back to mind then and it always amazes me that with just a few words you usually can make up what the text is about.

I had such fun with my brief experimentation with eraser carving. Another thing to get back to once I tired of knitting… so many things on THAT list.
Hope you had a Happy WOYWW day!

Fun desk and I like the carving bits. I think you are supposed to keep those for a Mixed media application. File them with other like things and then wonder about them on rediscovery!

Very tidy desk as always, Marit. And a bright sunshiny day for you too! Have you carved many erasers? I would think that it would require a lot of patience. ๐ Have a wonderful, crafty week.
