Good morning, good morning Deskers and other beautiful people! It’s Wednesday, and I have another desk-photo for you (and more… keep reading.) You probably think the atelier (and desk) will look organized; clean and decluttered because I told you I was going to do that… but nope, it’s still the same ol’ desk with the same ol’ stuff on it… The weather was just too nice last week to get into the cleaning mood – I rather spent my weekend outside. So, cleaning is postponed until further order. Ha!
Here’s the photo of my desk how it looked this morning
The space that really needs organizing is the window sill… especially those stands that hold all those papers/cards/scraps/notes. It may look pretty organized from a distance but viewed up close the clutter shows… see for yourself on this photo that I made of it the other day.
Before I move on to my latest art journal page I have a call for Christine “Bishopsmate”: Christine, you were the next on the list at the 6th woyww anniversary after me. Please leave a comment at this post so I can email you for your address. I want to send you my woyww-anniversary ATC.
It had been a while, but I made another page for The Documented Life Project with this prompt
May 9
May Theme: Touchy Feely (Texture)
Art Challenge: Stitching
Journal Prompt: “All that I’m after is life full of laughter.”
The journaling (in Dutch) free translated: “This phrase was the journaling prompt at DLP and at first I had no idea what to do with it. I’m not a smiley person and take life (much too) serious. But then I thought of this photo, taken a few years ago. I met Peggy, a woman I knew through blogging, and we connected right away. Boy, did we have fun together that afternoon! Seeing this photo again makes me think: I should definitely laugh more!”
(Oh, and Peggy is on the left, with the red glasses and yep, that’s me on the right ๐ )
The background of this page is made with Dylusions spray ink (postbox red, bubblegum pink & pure sunshine) adn a dotted stencil. The lines are stitched with the sewing machine. Handwritten journaling with black and white markers.
Here’s a detail of the stitched lines.
Thanks for visiting my blog, I really appreciate you all for hopping over and leaving comments. Hope you have a great day. Laugh some!

Love your journal page, didn’t see the stitching at first, but when you showed the side view – what a great idea! Loved snooping through all your stuff – and I saw and i-cad! I’m doing the i-cad challenge – assuming you are too? Drop by and see my first week of i-cads! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #47

Hi Marit. I’m sooo late with my WOYWW post this week, that I didn’t make it til Thursday! But, here I am after all – better late than never.
I love how you say your desk and window-sill are a mess… Wow, you should see mine, then you’d think yours were the epitome of tidiness! Still, I do love to see all your little things, carefully labelled on the photo..
And that Page! It is gorgeous!! (a lot of ! exclamation marks today). But it is so lovely. The stitched wavy lines are fun and the background colours are so beautiful. I do love yellows, oranges, golds and reds. I love that you’ve cut out the photo, to fit with the wavy effect of the writing and stitching – it really works. And how great to see a photo of you – and laughing, which is the best way to be! Like you, I take life rather too seriously most of the time. I’m so grateful for my husband and son – they make me laugh every day, so I have at least one good chuckle a day.
So nice to See you, as well as read your post.
