Goodmorning sweeties – I’m back! It’s been weeks since I wrote a ‘proper’ blogpost but now that Summer is slowly coming to an end, I’m ready for a more regular schedule now. I enjoyed Summer-freewheeling though: bike-rides and strolls with my beloved, meeting family and old & new friends (thanks for the wonderful lunch and lovely afternoon yesterday, Monique!) and spending Summer nights on the balcony talking and relaxing. But the atelier was not neglected either. Not only did I prepare the Quirky posts every week (this inspiring Summer-series is coming to an end but if you missed it, all posts can be found via this category) but I created new art journal pages (and more) too. I have lots of work to show you and I will do that in the next weeks. For now, I show you my desk (hello deskhoppers!) AND… there is a GIVE-AWAY at the end of this post to celebrate me getting ‘active’ again π
Regular desk-visitors will miss my table to the left… it moved to the working room of my beloved who needed more worktable (is that the right word?) and I figured I had enough without the little table. I still need to re-arrange my stuff though and that shows on my desk (the left part…)
You may also notice the overflowing paper bin… there’s two ways to look at that.
1. I created up a storm in my atelier and was in the flow – no time to empty the bin OR
2. nothing would work and I everything I created ended up in the bin.
(It was the first one, but I DO need to empty the paper basket.)
There’s also this canvas on the other side of my atelier… a painting in progress.
I will tell some more about this piece in a later post.
Now on to the NEWS and the GIVEAWAY!!

Wow! This looks like an awesome workshop (and one that is way out of my league). I love your talent.
I did share the upcoming workshop on Facebook and Pinterest. I will add it to Instagram if I can figure out how.
Oooh, dat canvas ziet er wel zeer intrigerend uit. Mooie kleuren en vormen. Ben zeer benieuwd wat daarvan komt. Veel succes met de mixed emotions workshop!
Your workshop sounds so fun! Love your desk today too. Have a great week! Sandy Leigh #38
The workshop looks very cool. Thanks…bea
I love how you label everything on your desk. I remember those mixing plates! : Wonderfully done canvass BTW. #30
This really looks like an interesting workshop! Of course I will share it on my FB page Artatag by Gabriele. And of course it would be great to win a spot!

Love your busy desk and that bin is really beautiful (though obviously in need of an empty). My work started at 130% or more, so can only dream of having time and energy for any workshops, though that looks great. Best wishes for your workshop and happy woyww!

Love the canvas Marit, it must be nice to move between something that big and your smaller journals! Sounds like you’ve had a good summer, how lovely.
Your desk looks great. I am mid-rearranging my room too. I sharedthe course on facebook, it looks interesting. Glad you had a great summer
I wish my worktable was anywhere near as neat as yours. My whole workroom is a mass of craziness right now — but I’d rather make stuff than tidy up!
Lots going on here and particularly love the canvas. Hope you have a great woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 24
Great desk with lots going on – you made me decide to move some things from my window and store my journals there. Thanks. Just go to do it now.
Hugs, Neet 19 xx
A lovely busy workspace – I love the little paint wells – I do similar with the glass ramekin dishes that some of the posher desserts come in from our local supermarket – my friends collect them for me but they don’t stack as neatly though! I love the canvas – great shapes and movement in it. Thanks so much for stopping by my desk earlier, I hope you have a great week,

Lovely to see you back Marit! I’m so glad you’ve enjoyed the summer…it sounds like you’ve been having fun π
Your overflowing bin made me laugh…mine is full of fabric scraps and threads.
Please don’t enter me in your giveaway though, as I don’t do journaling/mixed media stuff!
Hugs, LLJ 4 xxx
Loads of nice things to look at on your desk. The painting is fab. I like the colours.
Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hi, I am such a fan of yours and Shelley! I would love to take the class. I shared twice on Facebook! Fingers crossed! Thanks for the generous giveaway! π
Hi there loved having a good old nose around your desk – so much to see. Thanks for popping by mine. Anne x #32
It sounds as if you had a wonderful productive life-affirming summer — hurrah! Love the labeled creative space — I don’t why it’s so fun to see each other’s space, but it is! Happy WOYWW (a day late). ~ Laura #48
Love your canvas in progress and the workshop looks very exciting, great video! :o) Annie C #34
Even if you have so much stuff on your desk, it’s still pretty organized! I like your painting- it’s going to be FAB!!! patsy
Congratulations on the return to blogging and on the great course you have coming up! Sounds awesome!
I miss the wonderful days of blog land a lot. I just don’t seem to have the time to visit blogs and even to write posts like I used too. Sigh…
I spy your big canvas play!!! You go girl! The intuitive paint process is so good! Letting go, moving through, building layers, losing yourself in the process… All good medicine for the artist soul!
Big love to you, amazing one!!!
Love your work Marit and would so enjoy a place on your new workshop!!
Oooo Lots of activity! Love the canvas in progress. I finally bought an easel. It’s a table top and will hold up to a 16×26 or there ’bouts so I’m happy for now. Good of you to share the worktable with hubby. They do need their space too. LOL
Oh and a give away! With my new studio in progress of being set up, I’d love this class to break in the new space! I’ll be sharing you everywhere I can think of.

I always like to see other people’s workspace. It is like dropping by for coffee and a little chat π I am curios about the workshop. Hope to win a place…
Oh you have been busy! Looking at your ‘prullebak’.
Thank you for offering the giveaway. Sounds great. I will share it on FB and on my blog on Friday.
I’m sorry that I’m so late in commenting, but we’ve been away for a few days.
Thanks for your visit last week. Yes, I realised soon after posting that the animals in the picture were goats and not sheep! Silly me!
CU soon,
Lisca#20
Your desk looks so full of creativity this week. That’s a lot of journals your working on and sorry so late popping in hugs Nikki
The workshop looks fantastic–and (from a separate post) I *love* the journal pages with the bricks and cheesecloth. Have you tried using cheesecloth on a Gelli plate, especially with one of the phthalo blue paints? I bet you’ll like it :-).
Intuitively I know this is where I am supposed to be.
I hope the stars align and I find my way into your workshop as the winner of the free give away. I have so much to learn and I’m ready : )
Thank you for a such an opportunity!
