Hi there desk-hoppers and other curious people… it’s Wednesday and I’m here with a view in my re-organized atelier, showing you what’s inside the closets and what I have on my desk. The photos were taken on Tuesday because I have a visitor today and I knew I wouldn’t be able to write a blogpost.
For the ones who didn’t see my latest blogpost: I cleaned and re-organized my atelier. It was a huge task, but I’m way happy with how it looks! Here’s an overview photo (photo’s taken in a circle while standing in the middle of the atelier.)
You can find the detailed photos with explanation/info in my Friday post.
I promised last Friday to show you what’s inside the grey closets.
Here you go!
I spend all Tuesday afternoon at my desk working on an art journal page for The Documented Life Project. It was about time I worked on that… I’m way behind on the prompts! You can see the finished page on my desk.
Oh, and I finally got it!
The new “Art Journaling – Autumn issue (a Stampington & Co magazine – see also my side menu) fell in my mailbox today. I’m glowing all over! (I will be giving one or two of these magazines away soon – but let me first read the whole magazine myself, yes?!)
Now back to hat finished art journal page on my desk.
I created it for The Documented Life Project with this prompt
June 13
June Theme: Travel Journaling
Art Challenge: Recording Memories
Journal Prompt: Taking the Road Less Traveled
I know, I am way behind on the prompts but I will catch up on the prompts eventually, even if it brings me all the way into 2016. I don’t mind the slowness as long as I like working on these pages.
And that’s it for today, thanks for stopping by.

You did an amazing and good job Marit – the atelier looks amazing and filled with good light, lots of room for inspiration and art! I think your attitude to Documented Life is perfect, the prompts are useful for you when you have time. No pressure and hey, real art. I understand your glee, Stampington really do manage to produce magazines that hit the nerve of the hobby!

Your reorganized studio looks awesome, Marit. So much storage space, wow! I bet those are mainly art books on your shelves. I’m addicted to buying art books. I just love them so much! Love your journal pages, especially the train one. Superb! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa @ InkyDinkyDoodle #30

Thankyou for allowing me to visit your page and atelier! I really enjoyed visiting you. I was drawn in by the journal page, the road less travelled. I love it. I am new to art journalling, feel as if I have no idea what I am doing! Just doing. As you say, as long as I enjoy it. Reading that there are such things as art journal magazines was very intriguing. That may be helpful for me! Thankyou ๐

Hi Marilyn, thanks for your visit. I’m glad you enjoyed my post. How awesome, that you just started art journaling… there’s sooo much to explore, to learn and to experience then. The internet is packed with inspiration! For instance, my online art journal workshops ๐ (see http://www.maritspaperworld.com ) but I also recommend the blog of Julie Balzer ( http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs ) and her blogseries “Art Journal Every Day”… it’s a series filled with tips and inspiration. Check it out here http://balzerdesigns.com/AJED.html Have fun Marilyn! Oh, and one warning… once you dive into the art journal world you’re hooked (but it’s a colourful addiction and it causes no harm.)
