Eeeck, it’s Wednesday! I intended to visit the participants of last week’s work desk hop – or at least the people who commented on my blogpost – but days flew by and here we are: another Wednesday. I will do my ultimate best dear ones, to visit as much of you as possible before next week.
Here’s how my work desk looks this morning… working on a Chronicles spread for week 12 and as you can see, orange is the main color. That’s because the famous soccer-player (and childhood-hero of mine) Johan Cruijff died last week. I just had to make the page (mainly) about that. I’ll show you the complete spread when it’s finished.
The ones among you that visit my desk on a regular base will notice that the ‘to-do list’, that hung at my window sill, is gone. I came across our old whiteboard – stashed in my beloved’s workroom – and thought it would come handy in my atelier. I put it up on my desk and love it so far… here’s a photo.
(The doll, a lady in Zeeland’s costume, was made by my friend Lena.)
Talking about my ‘Chronicles’ art journal… here’s an older spread. This page was inspired by the colors and picture of the trumpet-player I cut from an old calender.
The Chronicles of Marit 2016 – Week 10
I like to play with different styles in my Chronicles journal, which makes these journals diverse and fun to flip through.
Thanks for visiting my blog today, I really appreciate it. See you around folks!

It’s a neat IT set up, Marit! Good when you have the space for it and the white board fits right in! Cool double spread as well – very contemporary looking with the bold, red rectangles. Happy WOYWW. zsuzsa #26

You look very busy, Marit. Orange is not a colour I use a lot but I bet it looks really striking, you page is certainly very bold.
It’s good to catch up with you again.

That white board is very nice. It is great to have a board that you can change around to keep yourself on track. I always enjoy how your desk has lots of things out on it, yet still has lots of room and is very workable. Enjoy playing! PJ #54

You have shown us lots of things today. The white board is so handy. I am going to buy one for my craftroom too, or I might just stick large slabs of cork on the wall. I have found a supplier that sells it by the meter (5mm thick but that might be too thin…)
I love the chubby lady in Zeeuws national costume.
We are all sad about Johan Cruijf’s death. I’m looking forward to seeing your journal page about him.
Happy WOYWW and have a great week
