Another Wednesday, and after a cold, rainy week it finally looks like Springtime in the Netherlands! The sun began to shine on Sunday and everyday is a bit warmer than the day before. The weather forecast even predicts Summer temperatures in the weekend! That would be nice, ’cause I will be at a creative gathering in Tilburg on Saturday and Anne-Marie, the lady at who’s place we get together, has a beautiful big garden so we can spend time outside! I will demonstrate mono printing on a gelli plate that day, and I am looking forward to it! (If you’re interested: click on the link in the side-menu.)
I won’t type a long blogpost today ’cause it will be long already with a lot of photos. That is because I want to show you another week of ‘quick drawings’ that I created last month. I finished all the prompts (30! I’ll publish the last week some other time) and bound the pages into a journal that is on my desk today. Let me show you my desk first so if you came for “What’s On Your Work desk, Wednesday” and only want to view my work desk you can skip all the drawings that follow… enjoy!
And here’s ‘quick drawings’ day 19 – 25 that I created using the prompts from Roxanne Coble’s 30 days of drawing challenge
Day 19: Famous Landmark
Day 20: Beverage
Day 21: Teeth
Day 22: Earth Day
Day 23: Dessert
(I’m not much of a dessert-lover or sweet-tooth, but I love a ‘cheese plate’ – a French ‘plateau de fromage’ – with a glass of red port wine)
Day 24: Movie prop
(“The One Ring” from Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings”. I posses such a ring. I wrote about it in this old blogpost from 2009)
Day 25: Something you hate (cockroaches!)
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day, be happy!

Marit, how do you label all the bits on your desk, it is a great idea. Do you have a computer programme to do it?
I love all your quick drawings, they are amazing, I love the windmill and the cheese board, that just made me hungry, so realistic.
Thanks for sharing

Good morning, Marit. These are great – well done. You have a wonderfully tidy space… I’m envious – although I did do a partial tidy after taking the photo yesterday – looks a little better now!!
Take care. God bless.

Love your quick drawings, Marit. I’ve just bought a book to make art in but wasn’t sure what to do with it. This looks like a good way to use it, though my drawing skills are not up to scratch! My favourite is the cockroach! You drew it so well! Happy Wednesday! zsuzsa #32
