It does leave one with a nice art journal spread though, don&#8217;t you think?<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s another &#8216;heavy&#8217; art journal spread, this one&#8217;s in my Chronicles journal.<br \/>\nI pictured my feelings by cutting out\u00a0 Gustav Klimt&#8217;s three gorgons (- Sickness, Madness, Death &#8211; ) and gluing them on the page. I really like the way the fourth &#8216;creature&#8217; turns up from behind them, so I cut her out too. Oh, and don&#8217;t worry! &#8220;maddness,&#8221; &#8220;death&#8221; &#8211; it may all sound pretty awfull but I really was not that desperate&#8230; I just DO\u00a0 like the images a lot!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Chronicles &#8211; Week 43<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maritspaperworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/artjournal-week43-2013.jpg\"><img wpfc-lazyload-disable=\"true\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14902\" alt=\"artjournal-week43-2013\" src=\"https:\/\/www.maritspaperworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/artjournal-week43-2013.jpg\" width=\"617\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.maritspaperworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/artjournal-week43-2013.jpg 617w, https:\/\/www.maritspaperworld.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/artjournal-week43-2013-300x243.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 617px) 100vw, 617px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The three gorgons are part of a big art piece by Gustav Klimt: &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/suitesculturelles.wordpress.com\/2011\/08\/23\/beethoven-frieze-the-kiss-to-the-whole-world\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Beethoven Frieze.<\/a>&#8221;<br \/>\nI would love to go to see that painting in real life!<\/p>\n<p>On with my journaling page&#8230; here&#8217;s a detail photo of how the journaling around the Gorgons looks. Well, maybe that&#8217;s not all that big to you, but to me it is as I always work in small(er) books and on paper. I have this strange kind of &#8216;block&#8217; when it comes to working on canvas and I decided that it is time to force myself through that. I plan to take one of my smaller &#8216;paper works&#8217; that I like and use that as a guide to create a bigger art piece on canvas. Let&#8217;s see how that goes&#8230; I&#8217;ll keep you informed.<\/p>\n<p>It is a drizzling and grey day overhere in The Netherlands&#8230; not much for going outside so I might spend some extra hours in my studio this afternoon.
