The cleaning (see former post<\/a>) went on on Saturday, but I spend the sunny and
\nwarm Easter days hanging out in the garden. I felt pretty good and satisfied
\nabout the work I’d done and I made time to relax and\u00a0 read (since I picked up
\na book after a long time of non-reading\u00a0 – see this post<\/a> – I’m hooked again!)<\/p>\n

But of course there’s not a day that goes by without creating something –
\nanything!<\/p>\n

The Chronicles of Marit 2011 – Week 16<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Monday, my beloved and I drove home from Zeeland (where we visited my
\nfriend Lena) The sun was shining and my ‘hometown’ landscape was beautiful!
\nGreen fields, flowering orchards and lambs in the meadows… I started my
\nweekly page with painting the background in that fresh ‘Spring-green’ colour
\nand added images from Zeeland (cut a map in circles, and used an image from
\na brochure)<\/p>\n

There are plans cooking in my head… my mind ran over last week and I
\njotted it all down. The ideas are still in an early stage (but steadily growing!)
\nso I blurred the texts. Sorry, but it’s too early to tell you anything!<\/p>\n

While working on my journal page, I used the left over paint and
\nscraps of paper to make two ATC’s for Songs in my heART<\/a><\/p>\n

The circle\/stone – idea was inspired by my journal page I was working on
\n\u00e1nd by Teesha Moore, who makes ‘stacks of rocks’ (cairns) in real life as well
\nas on her journal pages. Read her post about it here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, I was flipping through a magazine looking for a certain image,
\nwhen I came across a beautiful photo – if I remember correctly it was taken at
\nsome sort of Hindu-festival in India, where the people throw coloured powder
\nat each other. I couldn’t use the image at that moment, but tore it out and glued
\nit onto a new page. I recommend this way of working! Just glue down images
\nthat speak to you, and work on the page later. If it so happens, that you don’t
\nlike it anymore when you look back at it, add gesso to the page and start over.
\nYou can’t go wrong here!<\/p>\n

\nIt is also an important one that some people tend to forget sometime…
\nif you’re a blogger, you might recognize the idea of: ‘I have to make something
\nto show on my blog’. Don’t fall for it!!! Keep on enjoying and loving the process
\ninstead of becoming a ‘creating machine’. I, myself, try to keep that in mind
\nand I used this quote in combination with the smiling, coloured ladies to
\nemphasize it as a reminder to myself.<\/p>\n
