I have to clarify something though: the &#8216;crossroads&#8217; that I was<br \/>\ntalking about has to do with my artwork and there&#8217;s nothing &#8216;heavy&#8217; going on in<br \/>\nmy personal life or something. Some of you may have been wondering, so I<br \/>\nwant to set that straight.<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t decide on the direction that I will take yet.<br \/>\nKim&#8217;s &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/queen-of-arts.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Queen of Arts<\/a>&#8216; comment really spoke to me:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Sometimes I wonder if I could just stay right where I am, plant my feet like<br \/>\nthe roots of a tree and stay there, swaying with the winds of change but not<br \/>\ntaking the journey\u2026&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Oh how I wish I were a tree&#8230;<em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Right now, I can&#8217;t really take any decision because I&#8217;m too busy writing articles<br \/>\nfor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.creatiefmetfotos.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\">Creatief met Foto&#8217;s<\/a> and getting everything ready for<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maritspaperworld.com\/shop\" target=\"_blank\"> Summer camp<\/a> (doors<br \/>\nopen next Wednesday! If you registered: you can expect an e-mail with your<br \/>\nlog-in info on <strong>June 1st<\/strong>. Registration will stay open &#8217;till August 15th)<br \/>\nHaving my hands full right now means that I will have to put the &#8216;deep thinking<br \/>\nand exploring of my soul&#8221; on ice for a while and come back to it later, when I<br \/>\nhave more time.<\/p>\n<p>Having said that, it will be no surprise to you that I didn&#8217;t create last week.<br \/>\nI won&#8217;t leave you empty-handed though; I hope to satisfy you with photos<br \/>\nand a haiku today!<\/p>\n<p>..<\/p>\n<p>I discovered Rebecca and her blog <a href=\"http:\/\/corazon.typepad.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">recuerda mi corazon<\/a> a while ago.<br \/>\nShe started &#8216;Haiku my heart&#8217; on Fridays&#8230;<br \/>\nEvery Friday, bloggers publish a photo and a haiku on their blog.<br \/>\nRebecca says this about it:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We are a diverse collection who gather on Fridays gleeful to strip down<br \/>\nto the bare essence of expression and most importantly share.<br \/>\nWe visit each other with a vengeance, leave comments with a passion<br \/>\nand lie in wait for the next Friday when we bare our souls all over again.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I will not promise that I join &#8216;Haiku my heart&#8217; every Friday &#8211; as you know<br \/>\nI&#8217;m from the Netherlands. (5-7-5)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #993300;\">The lines don&#8217;t have to rhyme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #993300;\">It is not allowed to use metaphors and no feelings or thoughts<br \/>\nmay be expressed (see that my haiku goes wrong here??!!)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\">To say it short: haikus are short observations, snapshots, which appear<br \/>\nby using\u00a0  very common words to describe facts.
