Slowly, like white clouds against a blue sky, the days float by my window… warm, languid days that I fill with warm, dreamy thoughts and crocheting (yep, another blanket to put on the guest-bed), reading, going for walks with my beloved and watching ‘Tour de France.’ Every now and then I saunter through the door into my atelier but I don’t have much inspiration. And then I dawdle out again… these are Summer days and it’s allright to take it easy.

It’s been two weeks since I blogged too… for the same reason: no inspiration, too hot to sit at the computer and edit photos and no energy to think in English (after all, not my mother language) to compose a blogpost.

But today I took a break from ‘vacation days’ to say hello to you all and show you some cards I made in the last couple of months. I usually forget to take photos of the cards I make – I think about it when I put them in the mailbox, when it’s too late – but this time I remembered so here’s a couple of cards that I send to friends for their birthdays.

May 21 – for Anna

May 22 – for Marc

June 29 – for Hans

Last but not least:

July 7 – for Nout

This is the card I made for my son Nout who turned 25 last Wednesday. He received the key to his new appartment (in Amsterdam) on his birthday so it’s a double celebration card. The text is in Dutch (of course) and “Oiski Poiski” is a phrase from the animated children’s television series “Noah’s Island” that I used to watch with my son… it has no meaning really but we said ‘Oiski Poiski’ to each other quite often in those days…

I hope you liked this ‘sign of life’ from me today, thanks for your visit!
