Summer in the Netherlands.
\nGrey skies and 63 degrees outside.
\nSweatshirt and thick socks.
\nEndless reruns on television.<\/p>\n

I go with the flow so today I show you my own ‘rerun’
\nof a little book I made for my mum in 2008
\n(yes, I’ve been writing haiku’s for years…)<\/p>\n

Back then, I didn’t bind my own books yet.
\nI altered a small, chipboard children’s book and transformed it
\ninto this little album.<\/p>\n

Het mos mag blijven<\/p>\n

want ‘s nachts, als ik boven slaap<\/p>\n

dansen daar elfjes<\/td>\n

’cause at night when I’m asleep<\/p>\n

fairies dance here<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Roze, oranje<\/p>\n

en rood hangen aan de lijn<\/p>\n

Een Bhagwan wasje<\/td>\n

<\/td>\nPink, orange and red<\/p>\n

hang side by side to dry, looks<\/p>\n

like Bhagwan laundry<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Mijn vogel van hout<\/p>\n

als ik aan het touwtje trek<\/p>\n

vliegt hij naar Zeeland<\/td>\n

<\/td>\nMy bird made of wood<\/p>\n

when I pull his string, I fly<\/p>\n

right back to Zeeland<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

(Re-reading these old haiku’s, I have the feeling that my writing has improved.
