Today’s photo, that illustrates my haiku, wasn’t taken by my friend but by a local photographer Gert Eggebeen<\/a>. It pictures the “Oostkerk” (Eastern church) near my house. Some evenings, a colourfull light shines behind the windows remembering someone who passed away. “Everyone can light up a light in any color in memory of a loved one between 7 and 10 p.m. A modest fee is charged for energy costs.<\/em>” There’s a calender to be found online that shows the names for whom the light is burning. Ain’t that a wonderful initiative?<\/p>\n
