My new pants reminded me
\nof a photo I had in my stash
\nfor quite some time.<\/p>\n

I cut the image out months ago,
\nbecause it made me happy
\njust looking at it.<\/p>\n

Now the time had come to use it!<\/p>\n

But first, my son took
\na photo of me in the same pose.
\n(Not the same body shape
\nbut who cares…)<\/p>\n

I think I went a little bit over the top with this page…
\nI just couldn’t stop doodling and adding colours.
\nThis page does have the right feeling to it though, don’t you think?

Used materials: water colour paint, water-soluble oil crayons,\r\ndistress ink, stamps: text & labyrinth, handcut silhouette,\r\nglimmer mist, old Chinese (?) calendar, sharpies.<\/pre>\n

The silhouette arose because I flipped over the mask that I used for
\nthe ‘Hadewijch’ page<\/a> and stamped it onto this page.<\/p>\n
I finish this post with some exciting news.
\nI received an e-mail from Seth – The Altered Page<\/a> – the other day.
\nHere’s what it said:<\/p>\n
If you are reading this email, you are one of the artists who submitted
\nwritten responses to the Q & A section of my open call and, as you know,
\nwere selected by me to be included in the book.<\/em><\/p>\n
I am happy to be able to tell you that all of the content that I initially
\nsubmitted to my editor remains in the book. In other words…congratulations!
\nSome of your written responses are now officially included in the book.<\/em><\/p>\n
The title of the book is now officially The Pulse of Mixed Media and it is
\nbeing released by North Light Books on 3\/2\/12, although it will be available
\nfor pre-sale on Amazon long before that.<\/em><\/p>\n

Can you believe my words and opinions will be in it?! Woooowheeeee!
\nI still have to wait approximately 6 month before I can flip
\nthrough the pages to see which collaborators are in there with me,

\nof his first baby… not born yet but a glimpse of how it will look like…
\nCongrats Seth, with your ‘pregnancy’ and good luck with the waiting!<\/p>\n
It’s early in the afternoon now.
\nMore thunderstorms are expected later today… I cleared out the
\nbasement (again * sigh *) and I placed thick towels to catch the first water
\nthat will come in… keep your fingers crossed that it won’t be as bad
\nas last Tuesday…<\/p>\n
