Time seems to fly these days and all of a sudden it’s Friday again.
\nI did not create anything last week.
\nWell, that’s not true. I wrote articles and that’s creating too of course,
\nbut I mean I did not make any art that I can show you.<\/p>\n

To make this an interesting post, I came up with a solution
\nso you will find some art pieces on my blog today anyway.
\nOf course there’s a photo and a haiku too.
\nAfter all, it’s ‘Haiku my heart Friday’.

I started blogging in November 2008 and my creative work got a boost.
\nShowing what I made to ‘the world’, getting feedback and compliments and
\nthe contact I made with other artists and their work was really uplifting and
\ninspiring. I though it would be fun to see what I made over the years.<\/p>\n

I lifted work from my old blog from every (blog)year up till now…<\/p>\n

What did I make back then? Can I see a change in style? (yes) and did I make
\nany artistic progress? (definitely!)<\/p>\n

\nmy search for ‘ways to change and get loose.’
\nI used paint behind the journal spot…<\/p>\n

I’d discovered ‘art journaling’.
\nFrom this year on, I’d call my work ‘art journaling’
\ninstead of ‘scrapbooking’\u00a0 (although the boundaries
\nbetween those two are blurry)<\/p>\n

Photos, stamps, puffy paint, more journaling…
\nI think in 2011 I really got loose and tried every
\ntechnique I came across. Some techniques stayed
\n(photo transfer!) and some techniques were not
\n‘my cup of tea…<\/p>\n

Here are some pages I made at the end of last year… so,
\ndid I found my own ‘style’ over the years? I don’t know…
\nSome say they recognize my art as ‘Marit’ when they see it,
\nbut I still find it hard to point out what ‘my style’ is.
\nCan you tell me?
\nI would like to hear: what makes it ‘a real Marit’ ??
\nI’m very curious, so leave me a comment.<\/p>\n
