Well, for one: I am happy, HAPPY,<\/p>\n

to say that the cover of FEATURING magazine<\/a> is finished and looks<\/p>\n

ABSOLUTELY fabulous<\/h1>\n

if I may say so myself.<\/p>\n

(… and NO, I am not going to show it – yet.
\nAllow me to rub my hands together in satisfaction all by myself for
\na while longer – a few weeks from now issue #1 will be out and you all
\nget the chance to see it then.)<\/p>\n

That’s not the only secret I keep –\u00a0 I have a sneak peek of a new art journal
\npage for you at the end of this post. But all the other events of last week are
\npublic and readable on my weekly art journal page…<\/p>\n

The Chronicles of Marit 2012 – Week 12<\/strong><\/p>\n

OK, and now the English speaking readers will say ‘readable?
\nI don’t understand a thing… it’s in Dutch!’ Yes, my Chronicles are written
\nin my own language and most of the time it says what I did that week.
\nNothing special, but to do you a favour, I will translate it this time.<\/p>\n
Mopping and waxing the corridor and the wooden floor in the living room.
\nI receive a long letter from Lenny -including cute images of fish. M. is working
\non the cover of FEATURING. The rest of the magazine is finished and I am
\nextremely satisfied. Wonderful content and ‘look.’ Beautiful Spring weather –
\ndoors open and laundry outside. 20 degrees (Celsius.) Read in the garden.
\nPick Nout of the train – buy new acrylic paint – Hire and watch Harry Potter
\nvideo’s.<\/em><\/p>\n
See? Nothing special.<\/p>\n
Oh, wait, yes… the acrylic paint was on sale this week.
\nThanks Elvy<\/a>, for pointing it out to me. I bought 9 new tubes!
\nThe little smudges show all the colours I posses right now, with
\nthe names written next to it. I also used two of the fish-images
\n(‘poezieplaatjes’) that my dear soulmate-I-call-her-sis-friend
\nsent to me. She send a whole bunch: fish and shells. I have the
\nfeeling more of these images will show up on my pages in the near
\nfuture. The dates are cut out from a magazine, the month\/week
\ntitles are drawn with a template. That’s about it.<\/p>\n
Remember the art journal page I showed in my Friday post<\/a>?
\nThe one that I was not satisfied over? After that, I changed my
\nway of working. I strongly feel I need to take a new path, another
\napproach to my work… and I am experimenting with it now. It all
\nstarted with the next page, which is still a mixture of old ‘familiar’
\ntechniques but has a special feel. My goal is to explore that ‘feel’
\nsome more in a way that I am not used to.<\/p>\n
