…completely different.<\/p>\n

After all the excitement about the release of FEATURING magazine<\/a>
\nI spend the weekend with my mom at the poetry festival<\/a> in Landgraaf.
\nIt was nice to be away from the computer, talk with my mom and the
\nother poets (I know most of them from former meetings), take a long
\nwalk in the Limburg hills and listen to poetry.<\/p>\n

Being away for the weekend means that I didn’t manage to finish my
\nweekly page in the Chronicles (I hope to work on it this afternoon)
\nbut I have something else to show… ’cause I’ve been working on some
\nsmall ‘ in between works’ and I haven’t showed you those pieces yet.<\/p>\n

This is the birthday card I sent to my friend Lena<\/a> a week ago
\n(of course I also sent her a present along with this card.)
\nI don’t do these kind of collages and bright-coloured pages much
\nlately and it was fun to just fiddle around, choose happy colours
\nand doodle a bit. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Materials used: scrapbooking (patterned) paper, border and image\r\nof young birds cut out of a magazine, doodling with puffy paint\r\nand black & white sharpies.<\/pre>\n
I also worked on another ‘Letter from the Wasteland.’
\nI find working on these letters is almost like meditating (not that I meditate,
\nbut I presume it comes with the same feeling of ‘being in the moment’ with
\nnothing else on your mind.)<\/p>\n

I hope to have some more free time this week to get my hands dirty
\nwith paint and ink in between tweeting and ‘facebooking.’ FEATURING
\nmagazine daily presents sneak peeks on facebook<\/a> of the articles in the
\ndebut issue and we tweet<\/a> about it a few times a day. We don’t think it
\nwill make it to ‘trending topic’ – but nothing wrong with trying is there?!<\/p>\n
While typing this blogpost, I hear the mailman coming and my
\nbeloved’s voice from downstairs: ‘Marit, did you expect a package
\ncoming in from Lena?’<\/p>\n
..huh?…<\/p>\n
Well, that is an unexpected and nice surprise!
