In between bloghopping, I did make some art journal pages too!<\/p>\n

This is an oldie, from a week ago, but I haven’t had the chance to show it yet.<\/p>\n
The chronicles of Marit – week 4<\/strong><\/p>\n I don’t know what it is with this page exactly, but I don’t like it very much. And then I left it alone. Oh well – there’s another week. THIS ONE! I made two (!) pages for A Year in the Life of an Art Journal<\/a><\/p>\n This year, the prompts are kind of neat! If you followed the Gutter Girlz This was the prompt on January 15<\/p>\n THE PROMPT: Starting NOW Journaling: Enjoy your life now. (I jotted this down on the page right away, and didn’t think much about And here’s my take on the prompt from January 30<\/p>\n THE PROMPT: Time I just bought me water soluble oil crayons when I started this page! This next page isn’t finished yet. I used the instructions that Julie put If you start on Friday and work for 10 minutes on the page every day, 1. Prep a page. (I always use gesso to prepare my pages!) \nIs it the plain colour? The white piece with the little man that I tore out of
\nthe manual from my Ikea drawer? The black text? I added extra yellow dots,
\nbut that still didn’t do the trick for me.<\/p>\n
\nAnd I can assure you (’cause I’m already working on it) this week’s page
\nis going to be awesome!<\/p>\n
\nchallenge blog you may remember that there were 3 things that made up
\nthe challenges. Rachel shut down the GG-blog, but incorporated this way
\nof challenging into these art journal prompts. So you can use one, two or
\nall three to make your art journal page.<\/p>\n

\nFor too long I sat on my butt, hoping that my world would change. I knew
\nthat wasn’t going to happen if I didn’t take action, but Oh well – that was too
\nmuch trouble and I just hadn’t the nerve, until it was enough. I stood up.
\nI took action. I started doing the things I love. No\u00a0 more fears anymore.<\/span><\/p>\n
\nthe English spelling and grammar… As I type this, it strikes me that there are
\nquite a few mistakes in the text. Those things happen I guess, when English is
\nnot your native language…<\/p>\n

\nI played with those on the background. Some acrylic paint to make the
\ncolors brighter. I found this awesome old stamp on a flea market once
\n(I guess it was from a company or store – to number the articles maybe?)
\nIt changes the numbers automatically (counting up) when you stamp!
\nMy beloved figured out how it worked exactly, ’cause I didn’t have a clue \ud83d\ude00
\nI stamped from the year I was born up till now and I used sentences from
\nthe lyrics. Since a few years, I feel pretty good, and my life couldn’t get
\nany better… It sure feels like ‘my time is now’!<\/p>\n
\non the Art Journal Every Day<\/a> blog. For each day of the week, she
\nindicated a task that will take around ten minutes work in your journal.
\nFor this, she divided art journalers into five categories:
\npainty – wordy – collage-ish – scrapbook-ish – doodler<\/p>\n
\nyou end up with one page after a week. I went along with the ‘painty’
\ninstructions, but I only started yesterday so I haven’t got a page done.
\nI completed two of her instructions:<\/p>\n

\nI don’t know what to think of this page yet, but it’s good to step out
\nof my comfort zone. We’ll see where this leads to…<\/p>\n
