It’s ‘Haiku my Heart Friday’ and so I have a haiku for you.
\nAgain it is one I found in my book case…\u00a0 I’m by any means done
\nwith book titles, and this is a special one!<\/p>\n

While collecting books for my ‘haiku series’, my beloved asked me
\nif I could come up with a haiku using only books from his shelf.
\nThe haiku would also have to fit him as a person.
\nHa… now that is what you call daring me!<\/p>\n

Here you have it love: this one is especially for you {kiss}<\/p>\n

The English translation didn’t give me much trouble this time… I only had
\nto find another word for ‘seen’ – I chose ‘observed’ instead, but the official
\nbook title is ‘seen from up close’.<\/p>\n

I am glad that Rebecca, who hosts ‘Haiku my Heart Friday’, is back after
\na two weeks’ absence and I look forward to visit the other participants
\nand read their haiku this weekend. The list of participants is published
\non Recuerda Mi Corazon<\/a><\/p>\n

Now on to some art… remember I made\/bound a small book and called it
\n‘Weird art journal’ ? (see this post<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Be careful how to name your books… ’cause weird it is.
\nIt refuses to work with me!<\/p>\n

I started a ‘weird story’ spread, but didn’t like it one bit.
\nSorry, I forgot to take a photo – I just put gesso over it and started over.
\nHere’s what came next…<\/p>\n

… and again, I didn’t like this spread one bit.
\nSomehow this journal seems to ‘block’ me! Aarghhh.<\/p>\n
I don’t give up easily though. Know what I did?
\nYou guessed it: I smeared again a layer of gesso over it.
\nThank god for that stuff!<\/p>\n
Here’s the third layer\/spread and this time, I’m quite content.<\/p>\n

You can see all the former layers shimmer, and I like the effect.<\/p>\n
Conclusion: this art journal is weird in another way then I expected it to be.
\nI’m curious what the next pages will bring!<\/p>\n

I started with only greys and black but soon, the red appeared.
\nSo I shifted my attention from the color to the quote prompt, and ended
\nup using only the last words from the quote.<\/p>\n
Does it still count for the challenge?
\nI don’t know but I like it a lot!<\/p>\n
