Orange boots
(Freewheelin’ Friday #25)

The weather forecast was right… it’s beautiful sunny weather here in
the Netherlands! It lightens my mood… but that’s not all!
I’m almost done with all the “musts” – I think I need another week
of hard work and then I can breath a little more AND visit all your blogs!!!
I also have some plans this Summer – and thát lightens my mood too!!!
(I tell you more in this post so keep reading…)

Because of the nice weather and because I love These are a few of my
favorite things
(they celebrate their one year anniversary!!!) I took some
“me-time” and created a layout for the challenge:

What are your favorite shoes?

I’m going to be unfriendly…

in 10 days!!!!

Don’t be afraid, I won’t let you all down but I decided to quit facebook
on May 31! You probably know I’m on it for about a month now, because
my “A Year in the Life of an Art Journal” group moved from ning to facebook,
but the facebook-group doesn’t really add something new…
I post my AYITLOAAJ-pages already in a Flickr album and on my blog and
I noticed the facebook-group does not really add anything to that.
So why stay there?
Why stay on facebook anyway (something I was never planning to do
in the first place.)

And then I read THIS last week, and I saw a documentary about it
on television, and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back…

I’m OUT on QUIT FACEBOOK DAY

So if you are my “friend” on facebook I will “unfriend” you…
If you want to speak to me you’ll have to come to my blog or e-mail
and I’m sure if you call yourself my friend you will STAY my friend!

On to some creativeness now…

Doors of perception

After a week filled with work, work, work… I desperately needed some
“me time” this weekend. Because my son went to Amsterdam with
some friends, and my beloved took care of some household chores
(thanks love!) I got the Saturday AND the Sunday “off”! YEAY!!!

I had some unfinished
business to take care of
and there was also a
cybercrop going on over
at Scrapbooking from
the inside out
, so I took
all my stuff downstairs
to the dining table and
had a blast!!!

As you can see,
I even had my
sewing machine
stand by…
It’s been a while
since I sewed on
a layout – I LOVE
this detail photo!

Freewheelin’ Friday #20
Queensday

(Warning: picture overload!!!!)

Good morning you all!
Today is queensday
in the Netherlands
and although the sun
isn’t shining, I will
spend the afternoon
outside trying to score
some useful goodies
on the giant flee market!

For you foreigners
who have no idea
what “queensday”
in the Netherlands
is all about, and for
you Dutchies who
want to have a good
laugh… you have to
have a look at this!!!!

(but you may want to watch when your children are out of the room!!!)

And the first photo in my post today shows the tree in our front yard
bursting with blossom.

Freewheelin’ Friday (#19)

Does your layout ever fail?

Just curious… ’cause although I have “better” and “worse” layouts,
I almost never feel my layout failed completely –
but this week, I did!!!

I promised you a page for my Leonard Cohen art journal (I was half way
when I said that) but…. the page failed miserably!

It was too bad to show, really… so I TORE IT APART!

And look what happened…
