Versatile blogpost
(Freewheelin’ Friday #43)

Last time I posted an award that pointed me out as a “versatile blogger”
so today I will answer to those expectations by writing a versatile post!

..

..

I took some time off from preparing lessons for the Mixed Emotions
workshop
. I needed to create something “just for me” and I really liked
Patty’s challenge at the Wednesday Stamper

“This week we challenge you to create something with a “face” using
at least one rubber stamp.”

I decided to get my stamps out and play along.
I haven’t stamped in quite a while and when I looked at all my stamps
I fell for the “gun lady” again… I’m just so in love with this stamp from
Viva Las Vega Stamps!

I used black embossing powder to give her more depth.
The text is done with black stickers. I made a small frame
around the card using paper scraps, and the black line
is made with puffy paint.
My son laughed when he saw this card – mission completed!

..

Looking for paper scraps to make the border of the ATC,
I came across an old piece of newspaper with the top 2000
list on it. OH MY, am I looking forward to that event!
Maybe some of you remember how I threw one big music
party on my blog last year and everyone could play along!

This year, my blog will again be dominated by music, beginning
on Christmas day and going on every day until New Year!
Some of you ladies already asked about it, and are dying to start
but you have to wait a while longer gals… it’s not Christmas yet!
I will tell you more about it in time, but for those who get very
curious now, here’s the post from last year that explains it all.

..

Anyway, I used that
piece of newspaper
to create a dress
for this lovely lady!

Because the woman
was quite long, I turned
this card into a skinny.
I made her stand on a shell
and added some music sheet
and parts of a crystal swirl.

The text at the bottom says:
“Looking forward to…”

..

..

..

On to Seth and his blog “The Altered Page“.
A few weeks ago, Seth posted this:

I am working on a future project and I need your help.
In the coming months, I am going to be posting a series of questions in the
form of polls on my sidebar. Every Thursday, a set of polls will be posted.
You will have one week to answer the questions before they are replaced
with a new set the following Thursday.

Since he started this, I go to Seth’s blog on Thursdays to take a look at his
questions and to vote. Some questions gave me plenty to think about!
This week, one of the questions is:

Do you think it is wrong to alter a book?

And the possible answers are:

  • Yes, absolutely
  • Yes, depending upon the book
  • No, it gives new life to the book

Now as a book lover, I couldn’t really choose…
But – as you would say – “you DO alter books, don’t you?”

Uhm yep, I alter books! That’s why I had a hard time answering this question.
I guess my answer is the second (middle) sentence, but the YES should be
replaced by a NO. Think about it…

(Want to see the other questions and/or vote? Go here)

..

And I end this post with some celebrating…

WOOT WOOT!!!

The new challenge blog “Scrapbookers Anonymous” has chosen
their very first Design Team, and look who’s in it….

…my friend LENA!!!

Congratulations sweetie!!!

..

Now was this a versatile post or not?
I hope you enjoyed reading my ramblings again.
Enjoy your weekend!

Heey, embossing poeder, goed idee!! 😉

    Fijn weekend lieve vriendin!
    Veel liefs
