Birthday revisited!

Nooo… it’s not my birthday today (that was on October 2nd)

But look what the mailman just dropped off at my place! πŸ™‚

..

As a birthday present my friend Lena let me choose some stamps
at VivaLasVegastamps and she ordered (and payed) them for me!
She had to laugh when they came in, and she didn’t quite understand
why I choose that “astonished boy”.

To be honest – I can’t explain either…
I just kept on going back to that particular stamp and I kinda fell
in love with it. He makes me giggle somehow.
Don’t you think that stamp would do great on a collage?
Dress him up with woman’s clothes and high heels…?

Changes are that you will see more of him on Friday!

..

..

Talking about collage – did you see that fabulous card?
Here it is in all it’s glory.

Danielle send it to me as a belated birthday card – and WOW,
did she put a lot of work and effort into this little piece of art!
She even congratulates me (inside the card) in Dutch with
3 sentences that all mean “happy birthday”
(yes sweetie, you did great! No dirty words there πŸ˜‰ )

She also sends me two of her incredible ATC’s – Danielle is a star
in creating ATC’s you know!

Lena and Danielle, thank you both soooo much!
It felt like it was my birthday all over!!!

..

Remember the silhouette I sprayed last week?
I didn’t have the heart to throw away the cut out silhouette
so I glued it onto my weekly art journal page.

Week 42

I stamped some circles and doodled lines and journaling all around.
Pretty simple, actually. Maybe I’m in a “simple period”?

What period are you in?
Do you find yourself in “periods” when it comes to creating?
Do you always work in the same way – stick to your own style and stay
in your comfort zone, or do you like to try new things or techniques?

I myself like to try some things out for a while and then move on.
But looking back on my work, I guess I come back to some techniques
that I like most. Collage. Misting and masking. Photo transfers.

I feel like it’s time to try something new – a new sort of technique – soon.
I already have something in mind. You’ll see…

For now, enjoy your week.
Try something new!

Je t’embrasse!

Fabulous gift! That “astonished boy” caught my eye first thing. (great minds think alike?) πŸ˜‰

I do go through periods…I call them phases…I’ve skip around alot from one craft to another and one style to another. Can’t wait to see your new technique. πŸ™‚
