Today, I have a very good reason to smile… along with someone else…
Congratulations on your 70st birthday mom!!!!!!
Yep, you read it well. My mom is turning 70 years young today!
Go send her some love on her website!

Ofcourse I made her something.
Or better: two things, but I only show you the card.
She (and you) will have to wait some more for her present.

And as it becomes routine on Tuesdays: here’s last week’s art journal page.
Week 49
It’s a bit of a simple page, since the week was too hectic and busy filled
with work… but somehow I love it’s simplicity!
This was week 49, wow! Can you believe there are only 3 weeks to go
before the New Year starts? I will have to find/make me another journal
to keep my weekly pages going, but I already have a plan…
and it makes me smile!
I have three weeks of vacation as of today! YEAY!
The writing job is done until January, and I can fill in the days as I like.
So I subscribed to the online bookbinding workshop Just three journals
(teacher: LK Ludwig) and I am planning on binding myself a new journal
to use next year! I will have to decide on the paper, make a cover and
bind the book but I can’t think of anything more fun then bind (and fill)
art journals! It will be well spend free days!!
..
(And ofcourse there is the big, musical top 2000 blog party in week 52!
You didn’t forget, did you?)

After all the writing work was done yesterday, I rewarded myself and
got my white Christmas branches from the attic!
I’m not much of a Christmas decorator – I usually find all the decorations
‘over the top’ and although I love to see it all on pictures and blogs, I don’t
want it in my home! No Santa’s, no tree, no singing angels or reindeer’s –
just my little, white branches with the tiny lights! It adds a subtle
Christmas feeling to our living room, and I love it!
It’s hard to take a good photo that show off the lights in the dark,
but you get the picture.
And yes, that’s my art journal laying next to the vase.
See how thick it’s grown in a year?!
..
So now I’m going to spend the afternoon being creative…
I can choose to do so many things… maybe start looking for paper
to bind an art journal? Make a layout? Create some ATC’s?
I don’t know yet, but first I am going to call my mom!

Gelukkige verjaardag mama van Marit!!!!!! Ik ga zodadelijk eens kijken waar ik een berichtje kan achterlaten. Je kaartje is super, je mama gaat blij zijn (maar zelfs als de dochter geen kind meer is neem ik aan dat een mama blij zou zijn met alles wat haar dochter maakt hé). Je art journal page … ik ben het helemaal met je eens, het simpele design oogt hier fantastisch. Ik vind ‘m echt heel erg mooi.
Geniet van je vrije dagen Marit, ik kijk al uit naar je vele werkjes, en naar de top 2000 natuurlijk.

Gefeliciteerd met je moeder, jee 70 wat een mooie leeftijd!! en wat een prachtige kaart heb je voor haar gemaakt zeg!!! Ook je art journal is weer geweldig!! en ja nog 3 weken en het jaar is alweer voorbij, niet te geloven zo snel!!

Van harte gefeliciteerd met de verjaardag van je moeder. De verjaardagskaart is fantastisch!!! De vleugels met tekst zijn erg leuk Bedacht. Je weekly artjournal is eenvoudig maar daardoor ontzettend mooi geworden. Geniet lekker van je vrije tijd….

Je verlichte takken zijn erg leuk, ik hou van alle lichtjes in deze donkere dagen voor kerst.
