MEGA Marit!

ScrapMojo challenge #29 got me going!!!!

“Our next challenge comes with a big “POW”, “CRACK”, “BOOM”.
Everyday life can be stressful. We know you all have your own mini adventures going on around your house and some might even call you
a superhero. We fight battles big or small and fix many many things.
We want to know what superhero name you would give yourself.
It can be something silly or maybe something really heartfelt.
Whatever it may be we want to see you scrap it.
The second part of the challenge is to tear something.
A paper or a book page anything just tear it and use it on your creation.”

I had no problem at all seeing myself as a superwoman, ’cause:
“I’m every woman, it’s all in me” (Chaka Khan/Whitney Houston)

  I’m a listener…  I’m a reader & a writer…

 I’m a gardener… I’m a (scrap) artist…

 I’m a cook…  I’m a cleaning woman…

 I’m a shopping service

I AM……

So I had a little photo shoot with my son (view this post and be amazed by my stunning superwoman photo!) and I ended up with a lot of pictures that show all my skills.

It was hard to scrap this photo though…
I tried lots of colours on my scrap page. I even threw away pages and started over again (twice!)
The photo itself is so eye-catching and chaotic that none of the colours seemed to fit. And so I ended up with a plain white background and white tissue paper.

(I used foamdots on the photo to make it come foreward from the background)

It’s hard to photograph this scrap and get the colours right – it looks a bit blue – so here’s an extra of the photo I used (secretly to show off my super-hot orange boots again!!!)

(“What…?!
You can tell I
photo-shopped this?
How did you know?
Is it THAT obvious?)

And some details:

I covered the basic page with tissue paper and teared that open, so the picture could “burst out”…

For the title, I wanted a “graffiti-look”, so I wrote the types on a piece of cardboard which I painted white and cut in the right shape.
