Hallelujah…

…I FOUND MY MOJO BACK!

Yep, I lost it for a couple of days. Of course it always returns, I know that, but after a few days I got a little bit worried anyway… I had the time to create and no inspiration at all! That’s pretty frustrating!

But, eventually, it returned to me on Monday… and so I say:

…and thank you very much!

This is yet another page in my Leonard Cohen Art Journal inspired by the song (you guessed?) “Hallelujah
The photo of the angel statue comes from a free stock photo site, it was a grey statue but I edited it to get more colour and structure in the pic.

The background of this page is gesso, mixed with acrylic paint. After that,
I sprayed ink
(using Tim Holtz’ alphabet mask) and on top of that yet another layer of gesso
(used a sponge there, and it left me with a wonderful structure and “bubbles”)

Some paint and spray ink to finish it…
so this is what you get when you keep adding paint and gesso layers!

I stamped the white lines and wrote the following strophe with a purple felt pen/black sharpie (fine-writer):

“You say I took
the name in vain
I don’t even
know the name
But if I did,
well really,
what’s it to you?
There’s a blaze
of light
In every word
It doesn’t matter
which you heard
The holy or
the broken Hallelujah”

I’m already working on the next Art Journal page… taking benefit of the fact that I got my Mojo back – I want to profit as much as possible! But after a long time not showing any lay outs to you, I thought I put this on my blog first thing this morning!

And now I have a date with my spray ink bottles…
the sun is shining and we agreed, the brown one and me, to go play outside (maybe some other colours will join us?)
Thanks for looking again and see you soon!
Je t’ embrasse!

And a very special HELLO to Vivian, whom I met at the drugstore!
(…en geen U meer zeggen tegen mij hoor, zo mevrouwerig ben ik toch niet?) 😉

Edited: Got my Scrapping out Loud! prize in the mail – paper, ribbon, buttons… thanks Deanne!!! Also got a parcel with goodies I won over at SIStv on National Scrapping Day – journaling spots, chipboard figures, ribbon, rubons… Thank you Corinne!!!
