Focus (post #99!!!!)

Challenge #133 at Lotus Paperie this week:

Use a blurry/crappy photo

I remembered the
photo’s my son took
when he just got
his new camera.
He played with the
manual (shutter/
lens opening) to get
control over it, and
besides some
perfect focused
photo’s he made
some “out-of-focus-pics” like this one.

It’s a nice series of photo’s though, so I decided to do something with it.
I thougt of using one focused, and a few out of focus pics
and the title should be “Focus”.

This is how it works with me: I start with something – in this case the pictures and a title – and then I let it simmer for a while. See what comes in my head. And sometimes I bump onto something unexpected. Coincidental accidents.

This CD was
laying on the table
(Janis Joplin with
Big brother &
the Holding
company)
My guy’s listened
to it the other
evening and it
wasn’t put back
on it’s place yet.

And there it was –
the idea of using
this as a sketch
and put the sharp
photo in the
middle… focus!

I also found a nice quote and used it on this lay out:
“Focus to prioritize and learn what’s important”

It’s a bit of an “unlike me” lay out… I like it but if I didn’t remember
being there and making it myself, I would swear somebody else made it!
It’s not my style I guess – but than again, what IS my style?)

I cut coloured parts out of magazines with kids drawings in and –
inspired by that I coloured some segments myself using coloured pencils.
The little images in the left (top) and right (bottom) corners are
children drawings as well (from the same magazine.)
The text-clouds are some old stickers I had for ages…

Handwritten title.
I used a black sharpie
and filled the characters
and this segment with
my coloured pencils.

Part of the quote.

“Little things”

(I guess this is a pear…
For the “Big things”
I cut out an image of
what seems to be some
kind of monster…)

And now it’s your turn!!!
As a scrapbooker you must have piles of pictures waiting to be scrapped.
Nice, beautiful photo’s – without a doubt – but now we ask you to pull
out those photo’s that aren’t so great! Maybe because they are out of focus,
like mine, or just plain not good & crappy. They still offer a story though
or a moment that’s worth to be scrapped!

Come on over to Lotus Paperie and play along this week!
Oh, and while you’re there, take a look at the top right hand side
of the web page. The design team picked their favorite lay outs for June,
and the three finalists should be on the Lotus Paperie blog this weekend,
waiting for your vote!!! The one with the most votes gets the prize –
so go vote for your favorite!

And, last but not least, THIS WAS POST #99

You know what that means…

Hi again dear lady! You poor thing. We just meet and I have so much drama going on. Please know that is not normal. I’m a happy upbeat person that loves sending good vibes most of the time. This has just been an issue I feel needs to be dealt with to protect all of us and our work. So I am so sorry I brought you back to this! Look for happier posts in the next day or two!
