Foolin’ around…

..and having fun!

Yep, that’s me these past days!
I did all kinds of different things…

First, let me introduce you to Mrs. Jones!!!

When I got this
stamped image
from Glenda I
needed just one
look to know:
this is Mrs. Jones!

You know that song
by Billy Paul?
I think this is her…
(although my son
thinks that the Mrs.
Jones in the song
is a black woman)

Ah well, never mind what kinda woman Billy had in mind when he sang
that song – or what she looks like in real life – to me THIS is Mrs. Jones!
And so I used the image for yet another Music ATC.

btw, did you ever visit ATC the Music? You should!
Linda Pearson – a very sweet and talented girl – is the founder of ATC the Music
and she posts a music ATC every day along with the songs.
Anyone who wants to play along is welcome, so if you have an ATC
that handles a particular song: send it to Linda! The info is all on the blog…

I started making ATC’s in August last year.Β  Only occasionally at first – but
since I discovered ATC the Music and started trading them I got hooked
and I have build up quite a pile of these little fellas… so when I saw a picture
of a “ATC pouch” on Michelles blog I thought it would be a nice solution
for my pile (That’s not the good word. It’s more like “ATC’s all over the house”)

Here’s the first little “bag” I made – this one contains my “for trade” ATC’s.
I’m planning to make FOUR of these little bags: this one (as said: for my
“to trade” cards) one for ATC’s I get from others, one for Music ATC’s and
one for… uhm, the miscellaneous ones I guess.
I already sewed all the basic bags so I just have to alter them with flowers,
fabric, embroidery and I even found my old textile pens, YAY! FUN!

I also made a “for trade” folder in my gallery (which is on top of this blog –
see “ATC’s/Cards”) but there’s not much to trade yet… I hardly ever made
more then one ATC at a time (except if it was for a swap) but I will make double
or triple cards from now on, so the gallery can be filled up with cards to trade.

And – surprise surprise πŸ˜‰ – here’s some zentangling! Page 14 and 15 already!

The pages I cut on forehand to put in my zentangle album are almost filled,
right now I’m working on the last ones. I will cut and add more pages to the
album this week ’cause I can’t quit this doodling in the evenings.

Here are the same pages with page 10 visible behind the rounded corner on the
left. Because I cut the pages in different shapes, the images change every time
you turn the page.Β  I could take lots and lots of pics of the changing pages but
it would become a little too much to publish it all!

And look what the
mailman brought
me today!

HAPPY MAIL!!!

Amy send me this
for participating in
a little game she
played on her blog.
She stuffed the
envelope with all
kinds of sweet little
thingies… some
buttons, journaling
pads, stickers, vintage paper and last but not least, OLD STAMPS!
I’m in love with those old stamps!!!
I can see myself use these on some ATC’s in the very near future!
Thank you so much AMY!!!!

And that’s all for today!
I still got three little ATC-bags to go and also on my “to do list”:

A Year in the Life of an Art Journal (new challenge/word “Un”)

Gutter Girlz prompt #35 (spoke to me as soon as I saw it!)

Fave things challenge “My favourite drink” – hmmmm

Scrapping the Music #126 “Free me” – love those lyrics!

I can’t do it all… it’s more like a “to want” list then a “to do” list.
But aaahh, a girl can try. And dream.

Hope you all have a nice week, and see you again on Friday!

Je t’embrasse!

  • MrsPeel Says:

mmm… I’m not sure about the Mrs Jones being black, but I hought her a bit more….sexy? LOL anyway…by the words of most of my favorite artists, the lyrics are there for each and everyone to interpret their view…which most times differs to what the author had in mind when writing…

We had a bit of a discussion going on about Leonard Cohen’s Halleluyah…apparently you can find more than 8 different versions of his lyrics, and not one of us gave one version the same interpretation…
so…if you like a challenge, I would love to see what you would come up when *graphicing* this song πŸ™‚

Thanks again for bringing my mind to the zentangling thing, I left another comment in that post

Love your zendoodling, so groovy. There’s one circle there that has the illusion of a magnifying glass. Intentional?

    What a great bag too!

btw, I’ve had a terrible time trying to comment here the last few days, like your blog wouldn’t load correctly. Seems fine today. *shrug*
